Lucy & Dotty for You Paper

I confess, my absolute favorite paper crafting has to be baby pages, and more specifically baby GIRL pages.  I do love my grandsons and love scrapbooking them but girl colors just trick my trigger, rock my boat, oh float my boat...whatever -  I LOVE girly colors & embellishments.

This is my little melt my heart granddaughter, it makes me sad to say it was taken over a year ago already, time just goes by way too quick and I get to see her way too little.

Sorry about the color cast on this, I re-shot it at night because the one I took during the day was way too crooked.

You can see how much better the daytime color looks.

Shhh, I already scrapped this pic once but I like this one so much better. I'm doing a book for her and some pages for her mama's book for her too.  Everything I used was Close to My Heart (and available to purchase 24/7 on my website) except for the tiny amount of We Are Memory Keepers glitter adhesive lace; it's the shiny green just below the crochet trim.

Here's a list:
Lucy Paper Packet
Dotty for You Paper
Pink Collection Designer Ribbon
Sparkles Flourishes
Keepsake Felt Alphabet
Bitty Buds Assortment
Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge
The pins are no longer available but you could use the ones included in the new Bling Assortment.

This is a little reminder/tip for you, to conserve paper you can cut out the middle of the sheet and layer over it--saving a huge chunk of paper for other things.  I'm a bit concerned about the withdrawals I may suffer when I run out of the Dotty paper so I'm doing whatever I can to make it go further.

The Lucy paper packet actually comes with a nice Sweetleaf print to coordinate but I liked it so much I used it already so it was nice to have Dotty for You pinch hitting.

Heart to Heart Photo Inspiration Challenge

Goodness!  So sorry for the boring week without posts, last week was just a blur, long work days that took a big bite out of my evenings.  It was such a blur that I hadn't even realized that I almost missed the Mojo Monday and Heart to Heart challenges!  Well make that ACTUALLY missed the Mojo Monday challenge.  I've only participated a couple times now and hadn't noticed the cut off was about an hour before I got around to posting this oh darn.  Anyway this card still serves two purposes, first it will be for a co-workers birthday and second the H2H challenge. Click here to see the Heart to Heart inspiration photo.

Here's what I used - all Close to My Heart products:

Dotty for You paper (special available until the end of May)
Lucy Rub Ons
Creme Brulee Cardstock
White Daisy Cardstock
Desert Sand Cardstock
Smoothie Cardstock
Baker's Twine
Sunset Mini Medleys
July Stamp of the Month (watch for more with this set!)
Wonderful You Stamp Set (let me know if you're interested)

April Diva Dare Day 3 Entry

The April Diva Dare Day 3 at Verve Stamps blog.  The person who inadvertently got me going on this dare was Teresa Kline at Paperie Blooms,  I love her style and was admiring her fabulous creations, one thing led to another; next thing I knew I was on the Verve blog then gathering up all kinds of little cuties that I've had living in my craft studio some of them for years actually.

I imitated Tosha Leyendekker's card big time. The paper and stamp is Close to My Heart  as well as all the buttons, but they're little treasures I've had for  ah ehm...7 years!  I know because they moved into this house with us, so they are no longer available. Other than my futile attempt to sew on it, I had a great time making this card.

Sewing, well that was another story, for some reason when I did a test run two different times it worked ok on the test then goofed up on the paper, so I just resigned to just letting it be pierced.  The middle crimped peach band was wider but I had to fold the edges to try and hide my little sewing mishap.  As you can see some of it does show but I was going to be darned if I was going to start all over.   It's definitely not perfect but it passes for me and my mood right now.

Dotty for You continues...with Roxie

What I really needed was another addiction!  I certainly seem to be addicted now to creating and posting nightly.  This little escapade has been great for my stack of completed projects, but, not so great on my little crafting studio, holy cow is it a mess right now.  Nevertheless I've had lots of fun.  This was another extra quick layout.  My son sent me the collage last year, it includes one of his favorite sayings.

I used a real scientific artistic method to choose my paper, sketch and photos.  First, I  glanced at the art inspiration examples on the Dotty paper pack and picked the most simple layout.  Next I scanned a pile of photos on my floor (actually a few piles) and picked one that was suitable for the layout.  I switched up the papers a bit based on what was laying on my table already and the Roxie plaid popped into my mind as a nice alternative to combine with Dotty and these colors, the fact that it goes so well with my grandsons shirt was a bonus.

Come to think of it the stamps were already on my table too because that's where the Simple Pleasures saying is from, I used that just a post or two ago.

Hooligans! All this for just $6!!

There are some great "while supplies last" deals on my site today,  these Hooligan's coordinating products are so cute not only for Halloween but for cards, pages and gifts for any kid or kid at heart. The paper can be used for even more styles! There's 22 sheets, 12 double sided background paper and 10 cardstock for just $3 WOW!!

MOJO Monday 237 + Dotty for You is ready to order!!

Thanks to my friend Gail for inspiring me to take part in H2H and Mojo Monday challenges!!  Here's my second time for MOJO Monday.  A very CASE card.  There are 5 different Dotty for You papers, and everything is CTMH and available now except for the little Dream acrylic accent, they've been retired for quite some time.  I'm trying to stop HOARDING, or else my family is going to call for an intervention and put me on that Hoarder's show.

This is the last day of my challenge to myself to post for 17 days straight while waiting for Dotty for You to start this month.  However, I do have several projects in process utilizing this great special paper so, keep on the lookout-the best is yet to come!

Bonus- H2H Stitching Challenge

Just couldn't resist posting this when I saw the H2H challenge for this week.  This is the layout that my groups will be making this month.  The challenge is stitching, any kind real or faux, and that just so happened to be the technique my ladies are doing on this.  The effect is created by scoring a line and then piercing holes with the CTMH ruler, then sanding; my first group loved it.

The paper and canvas shapes are CTMH - Stella. This is going to be one of those layouts that will be so much better once the photos are added but for now I hope you liked it ok.

Dotty for You - Day 16, only one more to go!

This layout is pretty much completely copied from the inspiration artwork that is shown with the paper packet, just with different paper.  I will probably add a couple more embellishments when I complete the journaling.

TOMORROW  is the big day, the Dotty for You 24 sheet 12 x 12 paper packet will be available to purchase for just $5 with a $35 purchase.

Email me if you would like to know about hostessing a "virtual gathering"  or if you're in the Prescott, AZ area and interested in an actual in person gathering that everyone can have fun creating a special "Make & Take".  Of course you can shop 24/7 on my site pattir.ctmh.com.

Thanks for stopping by!

Dotty for You - Day 14 - I stamplifted :o)

Tonight I totally stamplifted this card, the one I copied, created by Jenny Newlin, is MUCH better, but I do like mine too.  This shape was so fun, it's a card from the Close to My Heart Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge.  I will definitely be making another one of these again soon.  I spent a lot more time on this than I usually do but it was a fun creative time for sure. If you want to know how to get your hands on the Dotty for You paper, check out my site.

Oh Dotty Day...Dotty for You day 13 & MOJO236!!

Thought I'd give the Mojo Monday challenge a try for a change I've never played along before--so fun!!

It felt a little strange but I actually took my CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge OUT of my Cricut for the first time in months to hang out with my previous favorite and still very beloved Create a Critter cartridge.  I knew as soon as I saw the Dotty for You paper that I would want to do some cute little owls & animals.  Isn't this cloud paper just so cute??

The stamps inside the card are soon to be Stamp of the Months and if you check out my April 1 post you will find more about the Dotty for You special that starts on April 17th. All the paper, flourish, ribbon and stamps are all Close to My Heart

Dotty for You #11 :o)

I have always loved the pink/orange combo.  This was so simple, the metal tag is one of the CTMH Mini-Medleys, just the right size for out little incentive stamps.  You will get this stamp or a similar little stamp like this for free with each $25 you order from me. You can email me at pattirmail@yahoo.com or just visit my site pattir.ctmh.com; it will be sent to you in a separate envelope since it is a gift specifically from me. Oh yes, the paper with the hearts is discontinued...living proof that you need to order what you like early!  The two dot papers are of course from the upcoming Dotty for You promotion that begins April 17th, 2012.

Thanks for stopping by!

Dotty for You day 10 & it's a Heart 2 Heart Challenge!

Dun ta da da!!  I’ve posted TEN days in a row!  I just now made this card.  Once again I almost thought I would have to skip (have been working on taxes; blah) but here it is.  I’m also entering it in the Heart 2 Heart challenge for this week. Don't you think Bitty Pearls really add a nice touch? They're so pretty, quick and inexpensive - it’s not easy accomplishing all three of those. I decided to add a flower and a scrap to the inside to jazz it up a little.
All products are Close to My Heart and everything except the paper is available now, as a matter of fact the Hello Friend stamp is a little stamp that you may earn for free by placing an order! You can get a GREAT deal on the paper starting April 17th, see how on my April 1st post.

Thanks for stopping by, hope you do again real soon!

Dotty for You Day 9

Wow, I came so close to forgetting about this tonight....now how could I do that??

I whipped this card up in a jiffy.  I caught a little bit of a hoarding show on TV yesterday so I decided I better start using my old stash before I qualify for the show!!  That helped me commit the cute K&Company brad that I've had for oh, say a year or two, to this not so magnificent card but it sure was a nice touch, don't you think? Everything else is Close to My Heart and can be purchased on my website starting April 17th.  Thanks for stopping by, hope you do again sometime real soon.

Dotty & Roxie - Day 8

For info about the Dotty paper I've been using and what in the world the Day 8 etc. means please see my April 1 post.  I used one of the Zip Strips from Roxie paper for these.  I will have more Roxie/Dotty combos coming up but today's post is just two very simple cards.  The top card is stamped with the May Stamp of the Month and the bottom card with the set from the Pemberley Workshop on the Go.  The only thing I used that was not CTMH was the black satin ribbon.  All the rest is available to order on my web site at pattir.ctmh.com.  Well actually you would need to wait for the May Stamp of the Month, until  you guessed it - May, oh and the Dotty for You paper packet will become available for only $5 on April 17 with a minimum order of $35.

Dotty for You Day 7 - H2H Challenge too!

I admit that I cheated for my last post...just uploading the Dotty for You video, but hey I needed to get it up here one of these days!  I had so much fun today...I can hardly wait to post the pages I made, I'm waiting until I get some pic's printed though.

This was somewhat of a cheater card since I used the My Originals Sweet Surprises card kit, however I hope that I enhanced it enough to count.  Everything I used was CTMH except of course the Sweetarts Jelly Beans, and I also added a little magnet closure thing instead of tying it with ribbon. I'm entering this in the CTMH Heart 2 Heart Challenge, my first time participating!

Dotty for You Day 5!

Surprise...I haven't given up yet!  Here is creation # 5, a fun little 4x4 card.  All the patterned paper is from Dotty for You and the emblem in the middle is a Stella Canvas Shape, with a Paradise Bloom and a quick and easy self-adhesive Durable Stud in the middle.  I love having plenty of these little gift enclosure cards around it's nice when they're generic enough to grab for just about any gifting occasion.

Dotty for You Day 4

I typically do a bit more to the page that has my main focal photo and this is no exception...see why I saved this one to show you after yesterday's post?  Here again one creation led to another, remember the card from a couple days ago with the little tree?  Well it grew FAST!  That card totally inspired this page. The papers are Stella and Dotty for You.  For more info about the upcoming Dotty for You special or the CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge that the tree is from you can read prior posts and/or visit my CTMH site pattir.myctmh.com

Dotty for You Day 3

Uh oh!!  It's only day 3 and I'm already feeling the pressure of this challenge I have given myself!  I have to work out of town the next two days so I'm busy with that and I won't be home tomorrow night so I'm kind of cheating and splitting up the pages from this layout.  This is actually the second page but I like the first page best so I'm saving it for last, make sense?  I'm here to tell you I had very little time to do this and I timed myself and kept it simple....I completed this in under 15 minutes, not bad eh?  I'll tell you more about it later, but for now I have to hit the hay. Big work day tomorrow--no scrapbooking for me until Thursday but rest assured I've scheduled the companion page for this to post tomorrow evening.  Hope you like them!

Dotty for You - Countdown Day 2

This card was "born" from a mistake!  I was making the card I posted yesterday and I put adhesive on the wrong side of the paper for the bottom of that card, so I set it aside, finished up that card then got busy on this one.  I'm quite happy with how it turned out.

Here's what I used to create this card, you can find it all on my Close to My Heart site at www.pattir.myctmh.com plus if you hurry over there and click on "WHILE SUPPLIES LAST" under the "Shopping" tab you will find some great deals, some items are marked down 80%!!!  Also, contact me about how to receive a FREE Idea Book/Catalog.

April Stamp of the Month & Dotty for You - Countdown Day 1

Happy April Fools Day!  I suppose I should look up how in the world we ended up with this tricky little day.  In the mean time if you know I'd love to hear from you.

First I want to be sure you know about this month's Stamp of the Month - "You Are" it has 15 stamps that are just perfect for making creations for your fun, amazing, cool & original friends and family. Each Stamp of the Month is available at a discounted rate of $5 with a $50 purchase; or for it's full price of $17.95 only during it's special month.  It's possible that it will NEVER become available again.  Some Stamp of the Month's make it into future catalogs but not all do.

The examples on the photo above are from our Spring/Summer catalog and you can click on the link to see more about the set.

I will have a few creations to share using the Stamp of the Month, this month because I'm challenging myself to post something every day between now and April 17, when the "Dotty for You" paper pack becomes available!  Talk about a trick, if I pull that off I will be surprised at myself even!

Here's my first one. . . .Day One!

These are the products I used and they're available to purchase on my website
Stella & Dotty for You papers
Smoothie Mini Medleys
Bakers Twine
Wishes How to Book (card pattern)
Cricut CTMH Art Philosophy (cartridge)

I've been trying to do a little to the insides of my cards, it doesn't take much to really jazz it up a bit.
