Freshly Made Sketches # 260

Hello there,

So when you're short on time (which is pretty much all of us always right?) it's fun to pop together a quick cheater card.  It has all the elements of any other card i.e. planning what to coordinate together etc., you just don't necessarily create every element of it.  I still find it a really fun creative fix to use some ready made elements especially since I'm much better off with them on a card and ready to be enjoyed by someone rather than sitting in my stash.  That's what I did for these two cards playing along over at Freshly Made Sketches # 260.  I hope you don't think it's "that bad" that I took the shortcut!

Thanks so much for stopping by & have a WONDERFUL week!

Tuesday Morning Sketches # 375

Well hello & happy two months before Christmas day!  Seems like just yesterday I was posting sketch #374!  I had a really fun week preparing for a baby boy shower and didn't do much of anything else.  I really promise to post some of the photos of my projects associated with that. There's something in particular that I think you'll think is pretty darn cute.

This is a fun, easy & versatile sketch by our busy girl Melissa again.  The prize is also sponsored by one of us, our ever so wonderful Debbie.  It is a Graphic 45 Twas the Night Before Christmas No. 1 cling set, you can win it just in time for some fun Christmas crafting.

So here is my creation for Tuesday Morning Sketches #375. I cheated on it and I mean a LOT!! I'm not going to confess all the ways but if you take a look at Swan Lake from Close to My Heart you can figure it out (probably pretty easily).  Everything except the leaf is from that paper pack.  I have hoarded my wooden leaves for so long, it feels great to break down and use one.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #374

Hello,

Thanks for stopping by.  I feel like the run away holiday train is gaining speed even earlier than ever this year.  How are you feeling about the insane thought that Christmas is only 68 days away?  I tend to measure in PAYDAYS and there are not many!!

Well I'm wishing you some crafting fun time, and I hope it includes joining in with us over at Tuesday Morning Sketches this week.  Our generous sponsor is our very own Jenée and one lucky paper crafter will receive this neat bundle:

Also we are welcoming a new member to the team, Janice Melton!  She is an amazing card maker and a faithful player of Tuesday Morning Sketches. Welcome Janice!!! Please check out what she and the rest of the team has created at Tuesday Morning Sketches.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #373

Well hey, it's the ol' broken record lady here again cackling "where'd the time go, just where'd the week go AGAIN??"  I really feel like I live in the twilight zone sometimes and it's an episode that every week is only a day long and so the whole year is only 52 days instead of 365.  :)  I bet some of you can relate!

Ok so, here's my card for Tuesday Morning Sketches # 373.  I really hope to make more cards this week with this sketch because it's been so long since I've gone on a card spree.

Our sponsor this week is A Day for Daisies and the prize is 3 digi's of your choice.  Get this...they have over 3000 images so good luck trying to narrow it down to 3 - lol.  I don't feel sorry for you though because I had to narrow it down to one!!  I picked this cute little artsy "Blooming Deer".  I really should have looked at the samples on ADD, if I had I would have colored it just like they did - I LOVED it!!  Oh well, here's my version, I love this little deer too even if I do say so myself.

The papers are from "Oh Deer" CTMH kit, and I colored with Shin Hann markers from CTMH.  The buttons are from my stash, pretty sure they're originally CTMH. Also used a Sakura gel pens for the white and a Sakura glaze pen for the red holly berries.

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a WONDERFUL week!!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #372

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Boy I'll tell you if it weren't for challenges I may skip crafting for who knows how long and surely end up being crabby about it.  It's not always easy making time for a little fun for yourself but I highly encourage you to do so.  I did do lots of crafting this week though, I made or I should say I'm in the midst of making 30 baby shower invitations.  They are all the same design, I'll post it later this week.

This cute polar bear from Bugaboo makes me so happy!  He was fun and quick to color, even though I'm not the best at coloring.  I used Shin Hann markers for his scarf and nose and a couple of Prisma greys, one to outline the inside of him and the other for the outside.  His foot pads and the iceberg are Prisma markers also.  The papers are Close to My Heart Fundamentals and the die is Spellbinders.

Our sponsor this week for Tuesday Morning Sketches #372 is Bugaboo Digi Stamps.  The prize is 7 digis of the winner's choice wouldn't it be great to pick out SEVEN images!!  For free no less!  So, I really hope you head on over to Tuesday Morning Sketches and play along, as well as check out what the rest of our amazing team created.
