Tuesday Morning Sketches # 349 & Close to My Heart Dizzy Circles

Well I guess you could say one thing led to another when I started playing with this week's Tuesday Morning Sketches #349 (again) The one that ended up being my favorite is last.  I choose this one to publish on the official challenge blog because it was the one that I thought best depicted the sketch.  I sure do hope you have time to play along with us!!  The button on this card is one I salvaged from a discarded worn out jacket. I had the rest of the buttons and embellishments in my stash.

Here's a pic of the big mess I had on my desk - lol.  I was trying to spray dots but it seemed like I would point it to spray one spot and ended up getting it on another.  The easiest and the ones that I think turned out best are the ones that I just masked circles and sprayed lightly around them.  I had a friend over to play too  and she loved learning this technique.

I used the CTMH stamp set Dizzy Circles because I knew it would be perfect for the sketch.  This was the first time I've had my embossing powder out in ages!

The sprays are so glimmery I love them, they're from Heidi Swapp.   This stamp set and gold foil tape are from Close to My Heart.

Now here's my fave - I just love pink+white+gold!!

Your turn to head on over to Tuesday Morning Sketches and see what the rest of our fabulous team made! Plus, your turn to play you just may win some Freckled Fawn embellishments from our very own Melissa!!!

Mojo Monday #444 & Color Throwdown # 389

Happy Sunday!

Here's my card for Mojo Monday #444 and Color Throwdown #389. The paper is a sneak peek at the Close to My Heart Happy Times paper packet that will be available next month.  When I opened this paper I loved it so much right out of the pack I was reciting "paper, paper in my hand - you're the fairest in all the land!"  lol.  I do love it!! It's going to be free next month with a $60 purchase.  More on that later though.

Thanks for stopping by!  ;o)

Retro Sketches #211

I just loved making this for Retro Sketches #211 and I can hardly wait to make more in more colors.  I used the CTMH Circut Artistry cartridge for the die cut and colored with CTMH watercolors.  I am a little late to the game when it comes to using my Martha Stewart microbeads but I've decided that I'm in love with them.  I only have them in this beautiful shade of blue but I just ordered a set of 12 colors so you'll be seeing more in my future creations.

As always if you would like to know anything about what I used don't hesitate to ask in the comments.

Thanks of stopping by!  :o)

Tuesday Morning Sketches #348 & TWO Color Challenges

Hi, hey, hello thanks for stopping by!

Once again I had a ton of fun playing around with the Tuesday Morning Sketches weekly sketch challenge.  Guess what??  This week I'm the sponsor!  My prize is a Balloon Animals stamp set that was a previous Close to My Heart Stamp of the Month.  What that means is that you can no longer order it from CTMH.  So....be sure to head on over and play along for a chance to win.  I incorporated Tuesday Morning Sketches # 348 with the color challenges over at Color My Heart #189 and Cupcake Inspirations #356.  Ahhh it was a sweet playtime with my goodies!!  Instead of DP I stamped the slanted band in the middle by masking off the top & bottom.  As always if you would like to know anything about any of these just leave me a message.

I'm going to be posting cards made with the prize stamp set in a couple days, so come back and see the tread you're in for.

These two are for the Color My Heart #189 color dare.

This one is for Cupcake Inspirations #356

Retro Sketches & Cupcake Inspirations

Ahhh lol I did it again!  I created a card for a color challenge that was already closed.  Well I like it anyway and I'm happy that I also incorporated it in to the RetroSketches #210 and Cupcake Inspirations #335.   Thankfuly I  still have time to enter those and that's what I'm going to do right now :o)

Sorry for the poor lighting, these days it seems like it's always really late when I'm taking pics and my craft room doesn't even have good lighting during the day!  Thanks for stopping by - enjoy your day!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #347

I hope you've had a fantastic week that has been blessed with many crafting pleasures!!  I can't tell you how many times I have thought  to my self the past couple weeks that these kind of weeks are precisely why I'm so happy to be on a design team.  Reason being that I'm quite certain that I would not have fit crafting time in if I didn't "have" to.  I love that it's a must to squeeze in at least enough time to make a card.

So here you have it my card for Tuesday Morning Sketches # 347.  This week's sponsor is
Lacy Sunshine Stamps and my card is featuring Sleepy Lamb Agnes  She is adorable huh???  I printed her out this size a few times for some cards and then a bigger one to put on a scrapbook page. I couldn't find paper or ribbon in my stash that I liked for the two swallowtails on this so I substituted a large and small button.

I hope you head on over to Tuesday Morning Sketches and join in on the fun and you may even win the prize!!

Freshly Made Sketches #231

This sketch caught my eye over at Freshly Made Sketches and I thought Oh I want to make one! Well then after I made it I scrolled down and saw the fabulous artwork by the design team as well as the participants and thought....eek my card is so simple.  Oh well I finished it lickety split because it's just a few hours before it closes and it's already an hour past when I should have headed to bed, considering all that, I like it nonetheless so here goes....

Can you believe this was my very first time to use a digital stamp???  So what do you use the most - digital, rubber or clear stamps? Whatever your favorite I invite you over to play along at Tuesday Morning Sketches. If you've never entered a challenge now's the time so you can see how fun it can be.

MOJO Monday #442 CTMH "Smiles Begin with You"

Oh my I do love the way this card turned out even if I say so myself. Thank you MOJO Monday # 442 for a great sketch! The colors make me happy, the saying makes me happier and thinking of how my friend will feel when I give it to her makes me the happiest!!  I really need to make a masculine one for my hubby too don't you think?

I used Close to My Heart Penelope paper packet, Smiles Begin with You stamp set and a little do-hicky that I've had in my stash for ages.  The stamp actually as a really pretty flourished frame but I masked that off for this sketch. The Penelope colors are my favorites and I just love this saying.  I couldn't wait to get this stamp right when it came out and then life was so crazy with my big move that I never even played with it until today.

I know who ever receives a card with this stamped on it will have a huge smile too - and I plan on sending this to several people.  This cheerful Penelope paper kit ($9.95) and stamp ($6.95) is available on my site pattir.ctmh.com. Oh yes and the glitter tape and enamel hearts can be found there too...I got a little carried away with the hearts lol.

I will make a card similar to this in the colors of your choice and send it to anyone who places an order on my site this month. :o)

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a MARVELOUS day!
