Tuesday Morning Sketches #543

Hello and happy Leap Week!

Four years ago at this time I was waiting for my youngest granddaughter to be born, she was almost a week over due and I had purchased tickets to see her thinking she would surely be there by the date or at least a day or two into my visit then the 26th - 28th came and went so I was betting on a Leap Day baby but nope.

I had my other 4 grands during the waiting time so it flew by and we did lots of walks together as a family! I thought I would have to go home on March 1 without seeing her but she came on my very last day!!  She was born at home and I had the honor of holding her quite a lot before I had to leave.  What fun memories!

Now on to this weeks fabulous sketch!  You will love creating with it and seeing what the rest of our team made for Tuesday Morning Sketches #543.  My first thought was to try painting the flourish image and while I enjoyed playing around with painting it, I’m not really in love with my results, I just need more practice. It was also a challenge punching scallops on thick water color paper.  I ended up just using card stock for the black one because I could use the metallic water color with minimal water.

Whatever you try or however you interpret it have FUN!!!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #542

Hello thanks so much for stopping by to see Tuesday Morning Sketch #542! Goodness gracious I have fun with all our sketches but this sketch was EXTRA fun & easy.  It’s such a perfect way to use Washi that I went a little crazy.  I’m inviting some friends over to make cards so I just cut out the elements all in black and white so they can choose whatever they want from my Washi stash to make it their own.  I hope they love it :)

I can hardly wait to see what you make this week.  You definitely want to see what our design team made - superb creations!!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #541

Well HI!

Here we are already time for Tuesday Morning Sketches #541!! This was originally sketch #511 from last year it is Melissa’s pick. We are almost done with all the team picks, mine is coming up next week after which we have some fabulous new sketches!!

Paper and inks are from CTMH and Arches Water color paper.  The doily die is Sizzix (I’m pretty sure).  As for the paint it’s just leftovers from my pallet so I really don’t know what I had on it.

First I was trying no line water coloring after stamping and the image was just too detailed for my patience level.

So next I just used the die and free handed a few without stamping the image. I decided that I liked the ones with a little smaller roses but went ahead and used them all with different colors. I’ll definitely be trying this out more in the future.

Finally the last thing I did is outline the free handed flowers because I just thought it was missing something - what to you think was it better before or after?

Just a quick reminder that you can make great use of your layering paper by cutting some die cuts before you layer.  I’m usually pretty frugal with really special papers like this black glitter paper.

I can hardly wait to see what you create with us this week!  Have fun!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #540

Hi there and thanks so much for stopping by!

Here is what I made with this week’s Tuesday Morning Sketch #540.  It was a great sketch but I decided I didn’t love my first take and had to do another that I like a LOT better :) The sketch is so classic and fun, it is another revisited sketch from last year - I just love revisiting them :) this is LJ’s pick.  The prize this week is a really cute fun Sizzix Valentine’s stamp and die set.

Everything I used was CTMH and all current except for the polka dot ribbon I think was from Hobby Lobby, it’s been in my stash for awhile.

I will be stopping by to see what you create real soon!!

Have a fabulous week!
