TMS 398 & CIC402

Hello there!

Just a quick couple of cards today (cuz I'm late!) both are using Tuesday Morning Sketches #398.  The first is a little more loosely interpreted :)  I made it kind of spontaneously because I had the image all colored and ready on my desk and threw it together real quick.  So quick that I made it upside down!  I bet you've done that a time or two right?  :)  I first made it with just the cupcake and thought maybe the string didn't make sense so I just covered up the cupcake to hopefully make it look like a ball of yarn....not sure it it's good or bad but oh well - it's  a ball of string now lol.

The second also incorporates the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #402.

Thanks so much for stopping by, I hope you enjoy these and my little faux pas :) and that you have a chance to visit and leave some love for our team:

TMS # 3978 and Cupcake Inspirations Challenge 401

Hello and Happy Tuesday!

It's great to be back again this week.  I was off last week due to some quick-changed travel plans.  It was a mixture of happy and hard family matters.  There were so many "God things" that happened that even the hard parts ended up covered in huge blessings.  I am forever grateful for the people God used in our life to help move my son & his little family.  He had to move due to health issues but I am fully trusting the Lord that this was all just meant to be and he will restore his health again.

So, a little fun is always a great stress reliever right??  Here's what I made for Tuesday Morning Sketches #397 with color inspiration from Cupcake Inspirations.  Our sponsor this week is Bugaboo and if you win you get to pick out FOUR fun images!!

Here are the links to TMS and our team.

They still have a ton of cute cat images.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #395

Hello and happy Tuesday once again!

I was able to make a few cards this week for our easy sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches #395.  I knew from the start that I wanted to make a little note card set for a friend using this neat verse set from Verve Stamps.  The New England Ivy ink & Hello Lovely paper and embellishments are all from Close to My Heart

Tuesday Morning Sketches is sponsoring this week and offering a $10 gift certificate to WPlus9.   So you'll want to be sure to play along!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #394 and Cupcake Inspirations #398

Well hey!  I hope this finds you having an extra fantastic day!  Here's what I made for Tuesday Morning Sketches # 394   Our very own TMS team is the sponsor and the prize is a couple of neat die sets.  You really should head on over and check them out!  The sketch this week is by Debbie Foster and I combined it with the Cupcake Inspirations #398 challenge this week.

I have a story about the ribbon and pretty little flower on my first card.  That ribbon and flower was on an unused favor from my daughters baby shower from when she was having my first granddaughter, who is now 6 years old!! Yep, it's been in my beloved pink ribbon jar all this time!!

As hard as it was it use it I now have a card to hoard (instead of ribbon) until I decide on just the right person - lol. I made my offset circles for the sketch by punching a smaller holes in a larger circles.  The tiny sentiment is from the stamp sets that come with the Close to My Heart Flower Market cartridge.

The second card was a little more simple. I loved this sketch it really stretched my imagination.  The rest of the design team have tons more inspiration for you, so see you next week and be sure to visit Cupcake Inspirations and TMS.  Thanks for stopping by!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #393

Happy Tuesday once again!  Our sponsor over a Tuesday Morning Sketches this week is DRS Designs and I made my card featuring featuring Pet Angel Group and Pet Sympathy Greeting.  I'm really happy to get some pet sympathy cards in my stash.  I just never seem to think of and have those.  I wish I would have been prepared when my sweet friend lost her kitty a couple months ago.

I hope you have a chance to check out what the rest of the team created and also that you can play along with us this week.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #392

Hi, hey, hello!  Here we are again ALREADY!  It's Tuesday so time for the Tuesday Morning Sketch #392, and I hope it's (or was) a terrific one for you!  This sentiment is from a new fav CTMH set "Here for You", the paper is old discontinued CTMH Brushed paper pack.  And the bird and buttons are the very last from a pack of Martha Stewart embellishments - I'm really sorry for it to be all gone but it does feel good using every single doodad from a pack. I also used a MS punch for the strip and leaves +some CTMH sequins.

TMS is sponsoring the prize and this extra great sketch is by Janice - I just love it!  I hope you have a chance to create with us this week.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #391

Is it just me or is this year going by already incredibly fast??  In some ways I would be perfectly fine if it went even faster...there are some pretty serious things going on in my family and I would love to be through all this and on the other side of these trials alright already.  Alright being the key word and that is my hope that everything is going to be all- right.

I hope every little thing is all right with you too already and I thank you for stopping by my little spot on the Wild Wild Web!  I did snatch a little bit of extra time to squeak out just one extra card this week for Tuesday Morning Sketches #391. The image I used is Sweet Carrot Bunny by our sponsor Sami Stamps.  The first one I used alcohol markers on Copics, ShinHan, and Prismacolors.  The second one I used my Close to My Heart water colors.  The sentiment is from this month's CTMH Stamp of the Month again.

I used (my goodness) I think 15+ year old circle cutter set from Creative Memories to cut the circle and avoid the bunny ears - I just love that tool!  The floral paper is from Dear Lizzy and the rest is all Close to My heart.  Oh yes, I added the Close to My Heart Shimmer Pen on the carrot greens and the inside of the bunny ears.

Now it's your turn to play along with us!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #390

Happy Valentine's Day!!

Wow!  Another week flew by!   I only have one card for you today, I'm hoping for some extra time and energy next week.  I've never needed a romantic reason to celebrate Valentine's Day - I just use it as a day to tell my loved ones they're loved.  I already made and sent my Valentine's before this week's sketch so thought I could start on some Easter/Spring cards.  I'm sure it's pretty obvious that I'm a spring color girl, I love making springy flowery cards all year.

So here you have it my card for TMS #390.  I used all current CTMH supplies if you're interested in what I used just let me know.  It's a great sketch and you can feel free to substitute another shape.  I thank you so much for stopping by, I hope you get to visit TMS and the other design team members - you're in for a treat.  Our sponsor this week is Pink and Main.

May you thoroughly enjoy your week and may you have some fun time to create!!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #389

Well you can thank the Super Bowl for the fact that I only have one card for Tuesday Morning Sketch # 389 this week!!  Great game eh?  This is a super fun sketch that I certainly could have gone crazy with had I not given up several hours of my life to watch the game with the hubs.  I just adore this cute little Summer Swing image from our sponsor All Dressed Up.  As always, I'm really hoping that you have a chance to create along with us this week and I especially hope you have a fabulous week no matter what!

Thanks for stopping by!!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #388

Hello & very  happy Tuesday to you!  This week at Tuesday Morning Sketches we have another revisited sketch challenge.  This week I picked one of my own (not really like me) sketches for us to use.  I choose this based on participation and the timing of it - not really at all because it was my sketch - I promise - lol.

Our sponsor this week is A Day for Daisies.  We are thrilled to have them back as a sponsor this year.  The digital images are so sweet, with the look of hand penned drawings.  The prize is $12 shopping credit that is good for 3 images of the winners choice.

I printed the Flowers in a Bottle image on Close to My Heart Watercolor Paper (cut down to 8.5 x 11 of course) and it worked really well with alcohol markers in addition to regular watercolor paint.  I just loved coloring this ever so pretty image!  Just four cards today because the coloring took me a little while - but wow it's so therapeutic.  I bet you can tell exactly what ones were watercolors vs markers.  Such a great look either way even if I do say so myself.

I really hope you have a chance to check out what our team created and to create with us also!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!!
