Tuesday Morning Sketches #539

Hello there, thanks so much for stopping by!!

This weeks Tuesday Morning Sketches #539 was ohhhh so fun!!  I wish I would have had more time to make more!!!  It was Lisa Lynn’s favorite from last year and you will enjoy choosing 3 elements to make a fabulous card.  I decided to go “all occasion” so I can use this however I want.

I used:
CTMH paper, embossing folder, and velum butterflies
Prisma Brush Marker to color the back of the center butterfly
Hexagon punch by Fishers

The prize this week is a ribbon assortment.

Thanks so much for stopping by-I’m looking forward to seeing what you make!!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #538

Here we are again ALREADY Tuesday!!  I keep thinking I will post mid-week but then I think again that I’m barely getting one post a week accomplished!!  I did have a chance to paint a little this week but no scrapbooking.  Thank goodness for Tuesday Morning Sketches to keep me creating at least one card a week!

Here is what I made for our TMS Sketch #538.  This is Kitty’s fav for last year, it was originally #515 when it was first featured last August.  Everything I used was Close to My Heart, the paper is current and called Celebrate Today and the stamp set is this month’s Stamp of the Month.  I actually made a few cards using this set AND sent them which is really an accomplishment for me. One of my goals for this year is to send cards not just make them.

You can check out the prize this week below, it is a stamp set from Stampabilities.  Next, you can head on over to Tuesday Morning Sketches to get some inspiration and create something amazing to play along!!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #537

I guess I went a little crazy with our sketch #501!!  It was Debbie’s favorite from last year #501.  I loved the first card I made which is the second one below.  I was on a roll wanting to make more but then my Vagabond broke uggghhh :o( so I resorted to my punch drawer and got the idea to use this cute little envelope punch.  I thought it was more unique for a focal point so I used it for our team blog.

I’ve had 3 important tools quit on me in the last 6 months.  My computer, my paper cutter and my Vagabond.  I became obsessed with researching cutting/embossing machines for the following 20 hours (other than eating and sleeping lol) and ended up ordering a Vagabond 2.  I LOVED my Vag and even though I think it’s kind of ugly I decided on another one because on the 2 -Sizzix has corrected the two issues that lead to my first one breaking.  I still got probably 7 years out of my old one and I used it and pushed it so much, there were times when I was having workshops that I would sometimes cut and/or emboss 50+ items in a day.

Well enough rambling on my part, I sure hope you have a chance to check out what our team made and that you get to join us this week and have as much fun as I did with this sketch!!

I’m really going to use this punch more often, I think it is so cute and I stamped different sentiments on front and back of the insert so I have a choice when it’s time to use it.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #536

Hello!

I hope this new decade is treating you well already! As for me I’m still in denial that it is already January 7th!!!!  Whoa - what happened to the last two weeks??

Here is what I made for our Tuesday Morning Sketch #536.  This stamp set is from Simon Says Stamp, I did color in a version but never finished that card, these uncolored ones were so much quicker so I was able to do a couple.

This is a fun time of year when each of our Design Team members get to pick our favorite sketch of the prior year.  This was originally #508 last June.  The prize is a $5 gift card to Sweet & Sassy stamps online.

Thanks so much for stopping by I’m excited to see what you make!

Of course I picked the boxer to color as an accent - thanks to my fur-babies :)

Thank you so much for stopping by!!
