Tuesday Morning Sketches #681

HAPPY two months from Christmas day!!  Can you believe it??

I had a turn with this weeks Tuesday Morning Sketches #681.  I originally planned on using Washi tape but decided to use these ribbons & trims  - so fun! The bird and leaves are from a Sizzix set I’ve had a few years. I cut an oval from a piece of watercolor paper I was just playing around with.  I’m not totally in love with it but I certainly enjoyed making it.

I appreciate you stopping by and as always!! I’m looking forward to seeing what you create with us this week at Tuesday Morning Sketches!!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #680

Thank you so much for being here and thank you in advance so much for hearing me out.  I’m posting last weeks card again along with this weeks pretty sketch for  Tuesday Morning Sketches #680.

You see this year has been non-stop eventful.  Most are good but the last couple months have been physically challenging, with shingles then Covid (and I’m too darn old for that!).

On top of that lately my 9.5 year old boxer puppies (always my puppies) are having health issues.  They are litter mates and the day we found out that our little Tavo (girl) had cancer and that it would basically be a hospice thing for her - that night during the night she went outside and laid in the cool grass in the back yard and fell asleep forever.  Yep, she passed away and that sweet sweet puppy didn’t even make us make a decision to say good bye she did it for us.

I know she wasn’t a person and this loss is NOTHING compared to loosing a person- it’s still difficult.

Well anyway I think that has zapped my creativity so I had a really hard time with finishing my card for our sketch last week.  I wanted it to be a really special card because it is for my granddaughter.  I struggled because I wanted to watercolor it but it’s so hard to stamp on cold press watercolor paper.

The card for this week’s sketch came together surprisingly easy!  I found myself just dreading it at first (I really never feel that way about creating) NOTHING to do with the sketch because it is absolutely WONDERFUL.  It is just the frame of mind I was in.  So, I just cut out my fav WeRMemory Keepers die and added some stickers and stuff that was already on my desk along with a beloved sentiment from Always With You from CTMH

It just so happens that the hardest part about this card is going to be deciding who will get it!!!  I thank God for soooooo many people in my life!!!  And I even thank God for you if you read this to the end you must be an AMAZING person because I rambled on so!!

I totally appreciate you stopping by and I will visit your creation this week!!  I promise and I’m really looking forward to seeing what you create with us this week with this oh so pretty sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches #680!!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #679

Hi there!  Sooo here is my late late for a very important date card for  Tuesday Morning Sketches #679.

I wasn’t feeling creative AT ALL!  More on that in my next post.  I knew what I wanted to do for this sketch and I knew I wanted it to be for a VERY special person (my granddaughter)! But I kinda just froze and I couldn’t finish and I had a week of noooo mojo. But here it is anyway when I finally finished it.

I do appreciate you stopping by and I’m so looking forward to seeing what you create with us this week at Tuesday Morning Sketches!!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #678

Hi happy whatever day!!

This card was not at all what I had in mind when I created this weeks   sketch for Tuesday Morning Sketches #678 but I realized that I really needed to get a card made and in the mail for my grandson so I had to brainstorm fast.

When I was looking for a dinosaur stamp I came across this cute alphabet and banner die set then one thing lead to another.  At first it was way too baby-ish for a 10 year old but then I remembered these 3d dinosaur stickers I got a while back (Hobby Lobby) for our trip to the dino museum scrapbook layout. The neatest thing is that there are two of each dino so I could put half of them in his card and still have enough to do the layout and this card. I’m hoping it looks like a really cool dinosaur bringing him some funny balloons.

After having it for several years I’ve finally figured out and fallen in love with my envelope maker by WeR Memory Keepers.  And I’m also loving this CTMH banner die/alpha stamp set so I think it will be put to use a lot and all the grands will be getting their name on a banner some way on their card over the coming year.

Now it’s your turn to create along with our wonderful team at Tuesday Morning Sketches!! I’m excited to see what you make - have fun!
