TMS # 484 - ANYTHING GOES! 

We do this only once a year.  I decided to show you one of my watercolor lessons. I'm painting them much smaller than the instructions. Kind of because I don't really expect them to turn out my first time and don't want to waste paper and also so if they by some chance are good enough they can be a card.

I'm learning a lot from the amazing artists on YouTube as well as doing lessons from the book below.  It has been a fun journey and really helps relieve stress.  I get so focused on what I'm doing that it's a break from my natural tendency to worry about things that are not going so smooth with some of my family.  

Of course card making is such a joy no matter how you do it!!  So I bet that is why you're here and why you WILL be joining us this week even in the midst of this busy time of year RIGHT??  I can hardly wait to see what you make because this is the last challenge of the year :)

Tuesday Morning Sketches #483

Hi and HAPPY December!!!

I hope your holiday season is off to a great start :)  Here is what I made for Tuesday Morning Sketches #483.  It's actually the second card I made for it but the first one I made way ahead of time and I gave it to my granddaughter for her birthday in November and I realized at the last minute that I forgot to take a pic of it before I sent it to Colorado.  I was pretty bugged at myself so instead of remaking the same one or asking my busy daughter to photograph it for me, I soothed my woes with my favorite flowery, pinky, girly things that were already on my desk.

I'm having the most odd December of my entire life - I'm spending the month working in Boston!  I work for Wayfair.com and I get to work at one of our first ever Pop-Ups in Natik Mall.  We have two this year one in NJ and the one I'm at in MA. I'm so excited to try something a little new but it means I am away for the whole month so I had to put the pedal to the metal to get my cards done (and Christmas gifts shopped/sent!) before leaving.  It was a year that we had nothing planned for Christmas so I put my name in the hat to do it.  

I hope your month is already filled with family and lots of time to relax and play.  I'm totally looking forward to checking out what you make it's like having a little bit of home with me while I'm away.  :)

Happy December!!  

Welcome to my contribution to Tuesday Morning Sketches #482.  I had a friend over to make a couple of these but different colors and she liked it so much she said we could make a bunch more of exactly the same but in different colors next month when we get together again.

Happy Tuesday & Thanksgiving week!

It's that time already for Tuesday Morning Sketches #480, it is another FUN one.  Actually they all are but some are extra fun :)   I've been a little jealous of some of the fun non-traditional holiday colors other have been using so I decided to go with that this week.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #479

Heeyyyyyy Happy Birthday to my baby girl!!  I spent last night, her birthday eve unexpectedly getting to talk to her even though we ended up with company until after 9 last night and we have guests again tonight until around the same time.  And I wonder why I don't get done the things I want to?!?

Tuesday Morning Sketches #477

Hey there anyone have a good brain at great price I can buy off ya??? Holy cow mine is just not working these days.  Well here is my card for TMS #477.  The worst time being late is when you have something done and just forget to post arrrrrgh.  

Anyway I'm still on my freehand watercolor kick, so I painted this wreath :)  I hope you like it and I am excited to see what you make!!  Good luck also I'm sure you will love the opportunity to maybe win the ADORABLE embossing folder prize this week.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #476

Wow!  Can you believe that after today we have only ONE more Tuesday for October?!?  This year is going to be gone before we know it!  I thought this week's Tuesday Morning Sketch #476 had opportunity for so many fun elements.  I chose to combine the tag and oval, and I loved the subtle hidden treasure of a verse, my favorite part is the napkin I used as the corner element. 

                  

I was actually published in The Stampers Sampler/Take Ten this summer :) using another one of these napkins, what a blessing! They even spotlighted my use of the napkin.  I saved a few of from a church ladies gathering I had at my house to hoard in my stash of "pretties" figuring I would line some envelopes or something with them eventually.

Hi there & happy Tuesday!

I had a blast with this sketch because I've been tinkering around with water color painting and I thought our Tuesday Morning Sketches #475 sketch was perfect for this idea.  I just used 3 primary colors to make the colors and free hand painted all the leaves.
