Tuesday Morning Sketches #746

 Hello!

Welcome to Tuesday Morning Sketches #746.  I had an extra day off this week so spent a little extra time playing with this sketch.  The top one is the last one I finished and I almost didn’t even do it because I thought I wasn’t going to like it but as it turned out I think I like it the best of the three.

I made the one with the ribbon while I was waiting for the two with the watercolor brush strokes to dry.  I don’t really love it. I think the top two ribbons and the sentiment should be lower but I’m afraid I’ll mess it up if I try and move it.

It was fun using a good number of sequins and dots on the other two.  I kinda wish I did a better job at placing them but oh well maybe next time.

Thanks so much for visiting and I look forward to seeing how you approach this fun sketch! So hurry over to play and add your creation to Tuesday Morning Sketches!!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #745

WOW can you believe that February is already more than half way over?  Yep and it is time already for Tuesday Morning Sketches #745.  I misread some instructions and ended up doing the background different than I kind of should have but I think it still works! With the exception of one more card I will probably use the rest of these irresistible butterflies on a scrapbook page.

The other main highlight on this is that beautiful Kuretake Gold Mica Ink for the 3 background swishes.  I ordered it several  months ago when it was on sale for $6.36 and it is almost 3 times that price now - but goodness it sure is pretty.  It was from Amazon and shipped to me straight from Japan.  I painted it on Tim Holtz watercolor distress paper and also didn’t like my more solid first try so that is what I used to die cut the happy.

I hope you are not too sick of this happy die—I just love it so much but I have plans to break down and get some more as soon as I find what I want on sale.  I wrote “birthday” myself with a calligraphy dip pen-yes I do still need a LOT of practice lol.

Now it is your turn to head over to Tuesday Morning Sketches to enjoy the inspiration from our wonderful team and join us for this fun sketch!!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #744

Hello!

Happy Tuesday and I’m glad you clicked by.  Already time for Tuesday Morning Sketches #744. Our first new sketch of the year.

I used random supplies I’ve had around - some for years.  The ribbon was provided by Bath & Bodywork’s  it is left over from som little favors I made - probable 10 years ago. The paper is from American Crafts that I got from Joann’s.  I use this stamp so much I asked it where would I be without you when I picked it up to make this ;)

Can’t wait to see what you make for our inspiration over at Tuesday Morning Sketches!!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #743

 HI!!

It’s time for Tuesday Morning Sketches #743, another 2023 favorite to revisit.  It is Tammy’s favorite. You can see the original post #708 here.

Still so looking forward to spring!!  I tried to capture the sparkles on this because it looks so much better in real life. I have been wanting to build a stash of “Any Occasion” cards because sometimes the sentiment I want doesn’t match the image/style for a particular person so that’s why I have no sentiment on this.

The stamps, paper, twine & embossing folder are all CTMH - stamp set is a Stamp of the Month from several years ago.  I still really love it.   I do want to share what a steel those tiny flowers were.  They were in the Jewelry making section at HL.  They are resin inclusions - they were 50% off so I got a lifetime supply for $2.75!!

As always thank you for stopping by and thank you in advance for creating with us at Tuesday Morning Sketches!!
