Tuesday Morning Sketches #725

Hello happy Tuesday! Already! But the good thing is it is time for  Tuesday Morning Sketches #725.

As I for-warned…here is another Christmas “anti-stampo” card.  Sometimes I feel a little tad bit guilty for not doing more for a card but I decided to stick to my same definition as I do for the term “homemade” so if you cook or bake something my thought is anything you have to actually do anything to is homemade - right???  So if you make brownies from a box, that you have to add the eggs etc to they are “homemade” maybe not made from “scratch” but still homemade cuz you didn’t just get a container of already made brownies.

Well thats enough of my defense haha, but this was still super fun to make and I used papers from CTMH a couple years ago. Yay me!!  This is a 3.5 x 6 card and I think just perfect for gift cards this year.  I will be making one this same size for each person in my niece & nephews family to send their gift cards in.

I decided to switch up the envelope and have it open on the side instead of the top. That reminded me of once in my monthly workshops we made sachets with envelopes the same way.

Well as usual I’m totally looking forward to seeing what you make for Tuesday Morning Sketches this week - have fun!!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #724

Thank you for stopping by to check out Tuesday Morning Sketches #724!

Ahhh if you have never taken this approach when in a bit of “crafters block” or just a plain seemingly never ending constant time crunch takes you over, I encourage you to try creating a series. I did a “series” of preselected stamp sets for several weeks and it took just enough of decision making off my plate each week to really help me enjoy the other elements of the process a ton more.

This is the second card in my “month of Christmas cards” series.  My underlying theme is also super easy anti-stampo once again.  You gotta know I love I mean I LOVE stamping but but sometimes life calls for a spell of simplifying!

This week and the next two weeks are going to be super simple but I think they are at least still pretty nice cards that my family and friends will like. I’m also still working with older paper packs.  This week I used CTMH “Oh What Fun” from 2018!!  You can see the sheet of cutouts that I used for the sentiment and one of the patterned papers. What a great testament to the fun designs that I still love this paper and it’s coordinating goodies even though it is 5 years old!

I made it through the month of August without buying any “artsy/crafty wants”- let’s see if I can make it through September.

I’m super excited to see what you make for Tuesday Morning Sketches this week-enjoy!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #723

OMG! I was so excited to share this  Tuesday Morning Sketches #723 then I forgot and didn’t post this on time!  Going through a spell here not staying on top of things very well.

I do however have my next few planned already so should be able to pull them off.  I decided to do Christmas cards all month.  I know most people do Christmas in July crafty things or all year long but getting some done in September is really good for me. Let’s see if I get them mailed this year for a change!

I’m trying not to buy ANYTHING that is a want and only get needs between now and Black Friday—sounds like a long time right now but it has been actually pretty enjoyable pulling out all the holiday paper I have accumulated over the years.

So now your turn! I hope to see you soon at Tuesday Morning Sketches!! Have fun creating!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #721

Welcome!!  Thank you for stopping by!!

Of course the week just flew by again it is already Tuesday Morning Sketches #721.  I confess I broke away from my 6 week plan again and just went with a super easy anti-stampo card :)  that’s my word you know like anti-pasta salad?  lol

All I used was paper from my fav Carta Bella Floral #3 12 x 12 pack.  Let me know if you get sick of seeing it because I just may never get sick of creating with it!! I may eventually run out though.

One thing I will add is that it is very hard to fold for the envelope so I scored the lines then very lightly misted with water and it was still cracking a little.

I know your life is busy and flying by way to quick also so I wish you some fun little crafty snatches of time to join us at Tuesday Morning Sketches!!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #720

Hi there, already time for  Tuesday Morning Sketches #720!

Sounds like everyone I know is having an EXTRA busy summer!  Way to go out with a bang - right? I rushed this card as quickly as I could.  I got to hang out with my kids and grandkids for a staycation (for me) for 8 days!  So after spending the better part of the last 8 days with 10 loved ones needless to say the house is a bit (actually a lot) too quiet!

Ok your turn to head on over to Tuesday Morning Sketches and join the fun!!

Ok one last thing here’s one of the pics from this week’s fun!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #719

 Oh happy day to you!

Thanks so much for stopping by for Tuesday Morning Sketches #719!!  I made this using the CTMH Thank You Kindly Stamp & Thin Cuts set. I really love making mini slim line cards a lot more than I used to, now that I can so easily make an envelope instead of trying to find and accommodate this special size.  Everything I used is CTMH other than it is colored with Prismacolor brush markers.

I am beside myself excited because I will have my kids and grands altogether for a week!  We haven’t had that happen for YEARS!!  Can’t wait for making memories and taking lots of pics.

I hope you join us this week at Tuesday Morning Sketches!! I love seeing what our team AND all  of you create!!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #718

 Hellllooo!!!

WOW, happy August!  What happened to July?  Time already for  Tuesday Morning Sketches #718!  I confess I did deviate a little from my six week in advance plan only a little though because I thought I would do die cut butterflies but at the last minute I was kind rushed (what else is new) so I set out to copy the sketch as precise as I could.

I just got this pretty 6 x 6 Carta Bella Flora No. 3 just a week or so ago.  I love this paper so much I’m so happy it is still around.  I had a couple of sheets of the 12 x 12 that I had purchased several of the same individual sheets for favors for a Beatrix Potter tea party that was at my house for the little girls from our church a couple years ago.

I thought I would see if I could find more and I found a great deal on Amazon so I ordered two more packs of the 12 x 12.  Overkill…no actually I have plans to use it on a first year baby book for my oldest granddaughter.  Let’s see when THAT happens!

It’s a little hard to tell but this has a panel of CTMH Linen color cardstock with the circles trimmed off the edges layered on top of a White Daisy card.

So!  Your turn now, this was really fun and you will love the variety of inspiration from our team over at Tuesday Morning Sketches!! I’m excited to see what you make too!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #717

Hi and happy Tuesday or happy whatever day you’re visiting!

I held true to my decision to use this stamp set this week.  A while back one of the guys from my department moved up to a different position and I thought a card like this would be great for that purpose so I’m ready next time it happens.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #717 is by Melissa and I really like that the  accent pieces for this sketch are small enough that I can cut a 9.5 x 9.5 inch square to make an envelope from a 12 x 12 paper to fit a 5 x 7 card and still have big enough pieces to use for the sketch elements.

I truly love seeing what everyone makes for Tuesday Morning Sketches and this #717 sketch is no exception - hope to see your creation this week!! Have a NICE one!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #716

Hello blink and here we are already time for  Tuesday Morning Sketches #716.  It has been so helpful but also a little challenging to stick with my decision about what stamp sets to use for the next few weeks.  If you scroll to the end  you will see a pic of who has been keeping me so busy!

This is CTMH Buddies - Ian click there for my dear friend Gail’s CTMH site. You can purchase it with or without dies, it is only $11.95 with dies!  This will be for my oldest grandson’s birthday.  He is a little old for a card like this maybe but I’m sure he will like it just because it was made especially for him.  I can hope anyway lol.

I know summer is super busy but I hope you have some craft time and we get to have you join us this week at Tuesday Morning Sketches!

l tossed all their toys in their bed while I was mopping and they found a way to squish in their bed with them in there lol.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #715

WOW another week bites the dust hey hey another week bites the dust woot woot!!  What else is there to say here we are again ALREADY another Tuesday, but the good thing about that is it is time for Tuesday Morning Sketches #715.

I can hardly believe it but I was organizing the other day and I made a little stack of the stamp sets I’m committing to using for the sketches for the next 6 weeks!!!  Think I’ll really do it?

For this week it is the Unicorn Dreams stamp and thin cuts set from Close to My Heart. I mostly got the set because I want to make little card sets for some of the little ones in my life. I sure do hope I really do it.

Speaking of Close to My Heart . . . I can’t even believe I’m saying this  (kinda) but after 26 years I am officially just a “Former Consultant”  wow - it feels kinda crazy.  Half the time I feel sick and sad and the other half ok and and excited to just focus on whatever whenever.

I used some older paper from a different unicorn themed CTMH paper from a few years ago because I had two sheets and I really want to make some scrapbook pages also.  Anyway I wanted to dedicate an entire sheet of patterned paper to the card and matching envelope.  I hope you like!

Now your turn to play along with Tuesday Morning Sketches #715!! Really looking forward to seeing what you make!

The lighting is bad in the second photo but at least you get idea of how it looks :)

Tuesday Morning Sketches #714

Hello & happy Indepencence Day!!’

Due to lots to get done for kids coming I’ll just keep it short.  Here is what I made for Tuesday Morning Sketches #714.  The bottom one has the seagull that I first colored with Prismacolor pencils and Holbein Melz but the paper pilled a little which was barely noticeable in person but when I put on computer and could see it up close and personal I didn’t like it so I just colored a new one and layered it over the old one.

Can’t wait to see what you make this week for Tuesday Morning Sketches!! I hope you have a fabulous holiday and - whoa can you believe it’s July already??

Tuesday Morning Sketches #713

Happy, HAPPY Tuesday!!

Time for Tuesday Morning Sketches #713.  Had this cute ribbon from Hobby Lobby so I decided to do a teacher card to build a little stash for my grandkids to be prepared for showing gratitude to their teachers.

The die is a Stamp & Cut set from Hero Arts and all the paper is from Close to My Heart.  Last week we had so many fantastic cards I can’t wait to see what you all make this week!

“See” you soon over at Tuesday Morning Sketches!!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #712

Hi here I am LATE again!

I was so proud of myself too that I did two cards this week for Tuesday Morning Sketches #712! even though one was super easy.  When I realized that the angle wouldn’t work to just flip over the paper to use the coordinating side I choose two papers and used the flip side of each to create another cars.

I hope you are more on top of things than I am and that you got to play along with us at  Tuesday Morning Sketches!
