Tuesday Morning Sketches #699

BLINK!!  Here we are again time for another great sketch  from Tuesday Morning Sketches - it is number 699!

Happy Tuesday!!!

It’s time for our first new sketch of the year -  Tuesday Morning Sketches # 698!

Can you believe it is March already?? It has just been sinking into my brain that I have three birthday boys and a birthday girl this this month in my family and also 2 friends and a coworker -whew!! Seven cards in one month - oh no!

I made the blue card first and then realized it was almost exactly like Donna’s haha! Great minds think alike right??!! Well I real quick made one with my favorite shabby chic paper that I have already used so much of but I still will be sad when I use up the very last bits. I had to change the orientation because I didn’t have enough of the background paper for a piece that would keep the pattern right vertically. The paper is Carta Bella Flora No.3 and my dies are CTMH.

Thank you so much for stopping by, enjoy this sketch and I’ll visit your creation soon after you join us at Tuesday Morning Sketches this week!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #697

Hi there I’m so glad you’re here!

This is the last 2022 revisited sketch and it is Tanji’s favorite for Tuesday Morning Sketches #697.  I’m a little sad that they are done but there’s a lot of fun stuff coming up for the challenges this year!

I thought about using this bug paper last week because I really need to be better about doing cards for guys because I need them but also because I wanted to participate in the Cards for Guys challenge but silly me I checked out the theme AFTER I made this card and it doesn’t fit, unless I could convince them bug hunting is truly a sport hahaha-well next time :) I bet my grandson could convince them, he has been obsessed with bugs for several years & of course dinosaurs too.

Along with this revisited sketch I revisited an old tool also - my crimper.  Do you or did you have one?

Ok now - your turn to play along at Tuesday Morning Sketches!!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #696

This will be short since I’m flying by the seat of my pants again!  Time for the second to last revisited sketch #696 from Tuesday Morning Sketches - this has been so fun.  I sprayed with water and crumpled these flowers and I’m not sure I’m glad I did it but that technique has been popping up in my head for a couple weeks so that’s what I did.

I do appreciate you stopping by and I’m so looking forward to seeing what you create with us this week at Tuesday Morning Sketches!!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #695

Hi there - thanks for being here!!

I was extra super duper pressed for time to do this great Tuesday Morning Sketches #697 sketch.  I put it off too long and then I had company coming for dinner & the Super Bowl.  After I made it I thought wow I could make about 10 of them so easy, and I may just do that during the week. We are still revisiting last years favorites and this is Rachelle’s favorite.

I’ve had this pretty happy die & stamp set for probably a year and pretty sure this is the first time using it.  I’m in love with it lol.  It would be so easy to mass produce for all kinds of happy occasions.

Thank you again for stopping by, I’m totally looking forward to seeing what you create with us this week at Tuesday Morning Sketches!!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #694

Here we are time again already for a new/old sketch from last years favorites.  This time it’s my turn and it is one of Debbie’s  great sketches for this Tuesday Morning Sketches #694.

I have a cute card kit that someone at work surprised me with for Christmas so over last weekend my granddaughter and I made a few cards with it. Here are my three and I really wish I would have taken a pic of hers - darn it - well I will next time!

I took the opportunity to make one for this sketch but felt like I really needed to also make a non-cheater card. I love these new CTMH papers so it was extra fun to make.

I hope you’re able to snatch some crafty time to join us this week at Tuesday Morning Sketches!! It is such a bright spot of the week to check out what you all make! Thanks for stopping by.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #693

Hi you! Thanks so mu for stopping by!

I hope you had a great week and it is already time for another Tuesday Morning Sketches favorite sketch from last year. It was one by yours truly and chosen by Melissa. You can see the first go round here Tuesday Morning Sketches #681.

I notice that I tend to add a few little snippets in my sketches - I’m sure it is because I love using little scraps of everything like on this one I used 2 washi tapes, patterned paper that I watercolored to color and crinkle it a little and then of course a little ribbon.  Maybe that is to justify the jars & jars I have of little ribbon scraps.

Our team and you all are just so darn creative I’m constantly amazed at the wonderful creations you come up with so be sure to check it all out and join us this week at Tuesday Morning Sketches!!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #692

Good mornin’!! (or what ever it is for you at the moment!)

Gosh I had fun with this sketch #692 from Tuesday Morning Sketches!  We are still sharing our 2022 favorites, this is Donna’s pick #659 by Melissa.  It is just so perfect for this alcohol ink background I made when I was playing around a couple weeks ago.

If I can snatch anymore time I would love to make several of these out of the sheets I made because it gives the opportunity to have a nice big swatch of the fun marbled alcohol ink to be showcased. All it is is the ink dropped all over a piece of Yupo paper and then let dry.  So enjoyable!

Last time Debbie used her Fastenater for the 3 metal elements and I was so jealous that I didn’t lol!  You can see TMS #659 here.  Reason I was is because I had never even used mine and I’ve had it over 10 years!! So finally I used it for this card and I really should have practiced first because they are a little wonky.

As always I really do appreciate you stopping by and I’m looking forward to seeing what you create with us this week at Tuesday Morning Sketches!!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #691

Happy HAPPY Tuesday!!  It’s time already for sketch #691 from Tuesday Morning Sketches. This is another DT favorite revisited it is #663 and Debi’s pick. You can see the original post here.

I had this basic idea when we did this sketch for the first time but then I had just received these beautiful papers from my SU friend Amy. They were just so perfect and quick for the sketch that I couldn’t resist.

This wasn’t exactly what I had in mind but since I need 7 Valentine’s Day cards I decided to go with pinks and reds and then I decided to add doodling and - well here you go this was the result.

I got these Caran D’Ache Neocolor II water solvable crayons for myself during Black Friday sales and just literally colored like you would a crayon then brushed it with water.  This is on Arches watercolor paper.  I doodled with a Sharpie Stained Black laundry marker and a white Posca pen.  See how brave I was to hand write my sentiment!! lol

This sketch was such a pleasure to create with I hope you get to have at least half as much fun with it as I did because that is still a TON of FUN!!  I’ll be looking for your artwork at Tuesday Morning Sketches this week!!  Enjoy!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #690

HAPPY 2023 from Tuesday Morning Sketches & me!!

This is our first sketch of the year and it is our tradition to all pick a favorite from the year prior.  This time it is a sketch from Andrea and it was chosen by Debbie.

My top card is made with leftovers from making the actual sketch card below.  It was a fun way to get the craftiness started for 2023.

I truly hope that your holidays were wonderful and look forward to creating along with our design team and and all our players throughout the coming year.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I’m excited to see what you create with us this week at Tuesday Morning Sketches!!
