Tuesday Morning Sketches #708

Happy Tuesday!

It’s time for  Tuesday Morning Sketches #708.  I immediately thought of this die when I saw this sketch.  I have used it for a past sketch but it has been quite a while ago and as you most likely know dies are not exactly cheap so we need to get as much value as possible out of each one right?

I die cut 200 gsm cold press water color paper and very simply watercolored the whole thing. Just added a few little doodles to the candles with a micron pen. I very painstakingly figured out how I wanted to cut the background paper to strategically place the neat knots on the wood then proceeded to adhere it to the card base in the WRONG direction lol - so much for figuring the perfect knot placement!

Thought I would share my two best puppies that anyone could ever have.  They both went over the rainbow bridge, our fawn last October and our sealed brindle a couple weeks ago. My husband was so sad all he could think of is filling our home with pitter patter of little feet again so we will be welcoming two new boxer puppies in the next week or two as soon as they are ready to leave their mama.

My heart goes out to all who have lost loved ones, loosing a pet is so sad but loosing a person is life altering. They leave a void that can’t be filled.  The older we get the more voids we are left with and it never gets any easier to say good bye.  I do believe in heaven and that we will get to see them again - that is our future and hope.

I hope we have the pleasure of you joining us this week at Tuesday Morning Sketches!! Thanks so much for stopping by and have a WONDERFUL week!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #707

Hello & thanks so much for being here!!

This little handful of friends who visit here really do mean so much to me!

Here we are already time for  Tuesday Morning Sketches #707.  I have been, if you can believe it, even MORE scatterbrained than ever.  Honestly I wonder if I need a brain scan or something.  I was at the deadline for posting this card and I was searching for the little pile of parts that I needed to put this together and finish up. Finally it dawned on me that “did I already put it together?” and YES. It was already finished and even photographed and I FORGOT!!!  AKKKKK!

Anyway I can hardly believe I just admitted that.  These supplies are more from my jumped in my cart day—this is the last piece of paper although I still have scraps of everything, I should be moving on to other things next week. I actually forgot about the little corner sentiment but oh well, that’s just more of me being me.

I truly hope you join us this week at Tuesday Morning Sketches!!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #706

Hello, it’s time for  Tuesday Morning Sketches #706.

This sketch gave me a fun excuse to finally open a roll of ribbon that I’ve had for a couple of years.  Sheesh, and to think that I still buy stuff when I still have so much what is WRONG with me??

What I really need to do is get going and SEND cards to bless people.  I just received the sweetest kindest card in the mail today so I know how wonderful it makes a person feel.  I need to get busy sending those good vibes to my loved ones!!

I hope you make a card with us this week and I would love, love, LOVE to hear a story about actually SENDING a card!!

Head on over to Tuesday Morning Sketches, join us and rest assured that at the bare minimum even if you don’t get your card sent to someone WE at Tuesday Morning Sketches LOVE having you join us!!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #705

Hi!

Thank you so much for stopping by for Tuesday Morning Sketches #705.  Even though there is very little stamping and no coloring this was a little bit of work.  I die cut two 5 x 7 card fronts and attached to a 6 x 7 card scored at 5” and sandwiched the two card fronts on that 1” flap, it made it easy but the story was a little longer than that lol.

I attached this fun Paige Evans printed acetate type sheet to one of the die-cut fronts.  It is hard to tell how see through it is but it is really cool.  Wasn’t planning on the gold frame at first but it seemed to need a little something and I think it was a nice touch.

I stamped “Birthday Wishes” (from CTMH Stamp of the month this month) the very last thing and that is always a little nerve wracking, not perfect but good enough - right?

Now it is your turn - this is such a fun one so head on over to Tuesday Morning Sketches!!
