Tuesday Morning Sketches #731

Happy Halloween!

Thanks once again for stopping by for the latest Tuesday Morning Sketches #731.  Big news—I kinda cheated haha been doing that quite a bit.  I did however need to pick papers & use embossing folder etc.  It was still fun and what else are you supposed to do with these great stickers?  Guess what is prob the neatest thing about this card?  That ribbon and little flower I’ve posted a few times before, they are actually from my granddaughter's baby shower favors - she’ll be 13 next month!!

It’s your turn now to head on over to Tuesday Morning Sketches!!  Have fun!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #730

Hi & thanks so much for stopping by for Tuesday Morning Sketches #730.

I was a little lazy and didn’t angle every element of the sketch - I just needed to simplify and save a little time.  I kinda regret it in a way though because it is really cool with all the elements.

I’m trying to be a little more intentional with what I make and be sure I’m ready for everyone’s birthday instead of just creating random whatever cards. I know I will still be doing plenty of random just cuz that seems to be how I roll but this card I planned for my daughter.  She has been hiking and fishing and doing all manner of outdoors activities so I thought this fun tree paper would be great for a card for her.  I didn’t really have that in mind when I picked out this paper - I just liked it!

This paper is by American Crafts and it was part of my Joann’s splurge - I should have bought more than one because I kinda thought it was most likely that I would use it on a scrapbook page. Not that I’ve been scrapbooking but I mean to! LOL

I used pretty much the whole 12 x 12 piece for the card and envelope.  Accidentally cut the square for the envelope too small so I had to improvise and I actually really like how it turned out :) - happy accident.

I’m excited to see what you make Tuesday Morning Sketches this week and thank you again for being here!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #729

Hi there & happy Tuesday (or whatever!)!

Thanks for being here!  It’s time for Tuesday Morning Sketches #729.  I never thought I would but I really love these mini slimline cards.  The size I have been doing the most lately is 3.5 X 6.  It  fits the minimum requirements for the Post Office and I can get two from a piece of 12 x 12 card stock.

I lost my will power and went in Joann’s the other day to spend $10.  Well $40 later lol I got out of there before spending even more.  I did get a Christmas gift for someone and a stamp and die set, a die and a bunch of paper all on sale.  Oh well.

One of my favorite things was this really pretty patterned vellum.  It is so pretty in person!  I thought about sticking a little butterfly on the front but I didn’t want to cover any more of the paper than I already did with my sentiment.  I used a Hero Arts stamp & cut set for the sentiment and then the Vellum is American Crafts then all the other card stock and ribbon is Close to My Heart.

Your turn to head on over to Tuesday Morning Sketches and join us for the fun!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #728

Hello & HAPPY FALL!

Boy where I live it seems it’s 80 one day and 60 the next then back to 80 lol.  I’m still enjoying the weather and the change of season and I hope you are too.

My puppies had surgery to get fixed last week and my mistake but I expected them to be more calm and easier than usual and they were not AT ALL. The take home instructions was no running or jumping - ya right! They were so wild that we ended up asking the vet for something to calm them down because we were afraid they were going to split their stitches.

Chip and I have been able to be home for the first 10 days between me working from home a couple and the holiday weekend and him taking vacation so we will get them through this. It rained a couple days and I have muddy walls to clean up now lol you can see in the pic, I had cleaned the floors but not the walls quite yet.  Unfortunately it has become a weekly thing due to the holes they dug in the yard there is mud whenever it rains or we water.

I truly hope to get back on track asap.  Here is what I made for Tuesday Morning Sketches #728.  It is a fun sketch for scraps but did I use scraps—noooo! This is a retired CTMH paper pack from just a couple years ago, it is called As You Grow or something like that. Oh well, I just had a really good time and my granddaughter was visiting so she helped me with sponging, attaching, & embellishing the butterflies.  That is a dream come true for me to be able have her over whenever we want.

Your turn, looking forward to seeing what you make for Tuesday Morning Sketches#728!!
