Tuesday Morning Sketches #620

Oh happy day to you whatever day it is that you’re visiting + thanks a TON for stopping by to check out what I made for Tuesday Morning Sketches #620!

I made a couple little goofs on this that if I had time to correct &/or make more I certainly would have.  I’m not going to point them out like I usually would though haha!!  So there - how is that for turning over a new leaf?  Just accepting it and moving on!

This is all current CTMH product and if you have any questions just ask :o). I made it for my almost 10 year old granddaughter who is struggling with her self confidence a bit these days.  If you have ideas as to how a grandma can help out with that across the miles I’d sure love your suggestions!!

In the mean time you’ll be inspired by our team creations and I’m sending you good vibes to enjoy every little snatch of crafting time you can - I’m sure trying to!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #619

 Hi hi hi!!

Thanks so much for being here!  Here is what I created for our Tuesday Morning Sketches # 619.  I free hand cut the flower petals from Tim Holts distress watercolor paper and punched the circle for the center.  Then I painted them on the front and back so that I could curve the leaves up a little.  I also free hand painted the grass and flower stems/leaves.  The little snail was an impulse purchase that I picked up in the little value baskets at the checkout line at Joann a few weeks ago.

So that’s my all occasion clean and simple card!  I totally love the cards our entire team created so I really hope you have a chance to visit their blogs too if you haven’t already!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #618

Hello!  Here we are again another week bites the dust ;o/  I’ve had some fabulous guests visiting for a little while and they are no trouble at all but it doesn’t really take much these days to get me behind.  So I’m worse than my normal scatterbrained self lately anyway on top of that.  Maybe I can blame it on the hot flashes which are more like hot floods that last way longer than a flash that is for sure. I dunno!

However I really enjoyed making this card for Tuesday Morning Sketches #618. I used Tim Holts Distress Resist Spray (for the very first time) and Distress Oxide inks on the background.  The flower I drew just doodling a while back with my small set of Windsor Newton watercolor pencils.  Oh man I think that is what I used it may have been Albert Durer colored pencils because I got them both around the same time.  Anyway I was just doodling and decided to save it to use some day and wha la.

This is a really easy sketch and you can apply a ton of fun ideas to it. I’m looking forward to seeing what you create.

Have a terrific week!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #617

 Hi there!!

Thanks so much for visiting!  When I saw this weeks Tuesday Morning Sketch #617 by Andrea the first thing I thought of was these doilies.  I must admit I impressed myself just a little when they were right in the first place I looked in my organized chaos studio!!

Everything other than the stamp set has been in my stash for quite awhile.  The stamp set is CTMH’s Queen Bee and I’m really looking forward to doing more with it, although I was really excited to get it for a certain purpose and I can’t even remember what that is at the moment lol!!

I always look forward to seeing what you all make so as always - ENJOY!!! Have a fantastic week!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #616

Hi all!!  Thanks for stopping by!

Here are the quick cards I made with  Tuesday Morning Sketches #616  I was happy that I thought of getting out my Dymo label maker after it has been neglected for many years!! Truth be known I barely used it at all - ever!  I probably don’t need to keep it around but at the moment I have room for it so I’ll keep it for a while.  I got it because of the novelty of being able to put the CTMH white core card stock in it but it just so happened that the color of labels I had matched this Party Time paper.

For the blue version I just used part of the zip strip that comes on the paper for the sentiment.

Your turn now to have fun!!  I’ll check out what you make for Tuesday Morning Sketches #616 real soon!!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #614

Hello, happy Tuesday or whatever day it is that you visit!! Thanks for stopping by!!

This week’s sketch Tuesday Morning Sketches #614 is by Melissa and it was really fun.  I didn’t do at all what I thought I was going to do and I totally got it in my head as horizontal and I think that turned out ok even though it was just due to being sidetracked.

I was really excited to make something with these beautiful papers from the new CTMH July - August catalog.  I went ahead and made a second card with the part that the circle was cut out of also.  I love this paper with the white flowers and lemons so much I could really imagine using it in my house if there was wallpaper like it.

The whole team was so creative with this sketch I hope very much that you can go visit and leave a little love on their blogs. Most of all I hope you are able to play along so I get to see what you make!!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #613

Happy Tuesday - I missed you!!  Yikes, I went through a little spell of letting myself get overwhelmed.  It started with redoing our backsplash and I was totally obsessed with it - it was sooooo much harder than I had hoped and I was thinking about ways to resolve issues and blah blah blah every moment that I wasn’t sleeping or working.

Then I had a happy happy thing happen!  My brother and sis-in-love visited but I had a huge mess from working on the backsplash and he came earlier than expected at the last minute.  Spending more time with them was more important than cleaning my house but it still affected me, maybe the backsplash followed by fun company while still working full time at a new job I’m getting used to wouldn’t overwhelm most people but I guess I’ve just been too close to the edge anyway. On top of that I feel dumb having feelings like this when nothing serious has even happened.  I do pray for all who are going through real issues!!

I truly enjoyed this sketch more than I expected at first glance.  I just bought this paper at Joann yesterday.  I do NOT need paper at ALL!!  I’m sure that I have more than I can use in my lifetime but I really loved the vintage pattern with those tiny birds and butterflies. The stamp is from a recent CTMH stamp of the month and I used grape ink.

Somehow I made a tiny space in my chaotic messy craft room to pull this off.  I literally can’t look at my space without a certain level of nausea, but I am glad I did because I feel a little better already. I wish you lots of calmness and happy crafting!!
