Tuesday Morning Sketches #561

And....just like that 1/2 the year is over!!!  Happy Tuesday June 30!  Here is what I made for our Tuesday Morning Sketches #561. I loved Andrea’s sketch and I could have made a ton but I’ve been working a lot of extra hours these days so it’s been hard to squeeze in fun time.  I hope you’re able to squeeze some in and I look forward to seeing what you create with us this week @ Tuesday Morning Sketches!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #560

Whaaaaaaat Tuesday again already???!!  Hope you’re having a happy day whatever day you stop by!  Here we are already with another sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches :) this sketch #560 is by Melissa and I was really excited when I first saw it because I thought it would be a perfect way to use this feather that I painted a while back.  I thought about making it into a bookmark but opted to use it for a card when I found this fun feather background embossing folder.

I used CTMH Vanilla, Pansy and Carolina cardstock.  The Vanilla works really well with Arches watercolor paper because bright white next to it makes the watercolor paper look dingy.

I wish you lots of crafty fun this week & I look forward to seeing what you make with this great sketch!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #557

Forgive me for the things I said when the cottonwoods were shedding!! LOL, well I have restrained myself from saying too much about them but now I have to wear a face mask outside just to mow the lawn!!!  There’s so much cotton flying around that it constantly looks like it is snowing and it is even drifting in places!!  All I can say is God bless the person who developed the first cotton-less cottonwood tree!! And I’m NOT kidding about that haha.

Ok, well back to fun stuff. Happy Tuesday!  Here is what I made for our Tuesday Morning Sketches sketch #557.  When I saw this it reminded me of a card that a dear friend sent to be a few weeks ago.  It is a quilt pattern (I’m pretty sure) so I used some country quilt style papers from the new CTMH Stitched Together paper pack.  The wooden heart is one of the coordinating products and the “miss you” is from the Operation Smile stamp set.

I hope hope hope so much that you check out what our fabulous team has created and also that you join us this week!!  We all know the world can use some crafty love vibes now!!

The card from my friend:

I’m loving making matching envelopes lately, I think a little touch goes a long way.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #556

Hello!

Can you believe that this is the last Tuesday in May!!??  Wow talk about a fast month.  Here is what I made for Tuesday Morning Sketches #556 - it is a sketch by yours truly!!  It is so simple I thought it would be a great way to show off your favorite papers or embossing folder.  I used some flowers that have been lingering lonely in my stash for quite a while and the thanks die is CTMH as well as all the paper and the twine.  I think the embossing folder is Cuttlebug and the enamel dots may be another brand I no longer know what they are.

Have fun playing along and have a NICE week!!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #555

Hi there, thanks so much for stopping by for Tuesday Morning Sketches #555!  This was really fun, right away I thought what a great excuse to use some of this ruffle trim I’ve been hoarding for years.  I have a few pieces still from when I used to often stop by Melrose Vintage in Phoenix AZ on my way home from work. Every time I come across it I just relish the memories of browsing their fun shabby chic store.   The stamp set is the Operation Smile set from CTMH and all the cardstock and die is too.

I hope this weeks finds you enjoying a little more of everything and that we get to have you join us this week!!  Our Tuesday Morning Sketches team has a fabulous line up for you too!

Have a WONDERFUL day!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #554

Hello and happy Tuesday!

I originally had planned on doing a lady bug shaker card for this sketch but I didn’t like the thought of trimming off part of the lady bug but also didn’t like the thought of not accentuating one of the unique features of this week’s Tuesday Morning Sketch # 554 which is the slightly sliced off circle.

I had cut some hearts for the original shaker card and got the idea to the fill the leftover empty heart circle with inlaid colorful hearts.  At first I was going to cut a batch of hearts from several colors of cardstock but then thought duh....I can just use the broad end of my Shin Han markers to make a few colors.  I rarely ever use the broad tip of markers and now never purchase markers with that type tip.

So.... I’m quite happy about using a piece of a die cut that I would normally throw away.  I hope your ready to plant some cheerful flowers now that Mother’s Day has passed and I also hope to see your creations soon for this weeks fun sketch!!

Have a NICE week!
