Tuesday Morning Sketches #590

Hello fellow crafty friend.  Time for another fun sketch - Tuesday Morning Sketches #590!  The last sketch for month number 1 of year 2021!! It is Margreet’s favorite revisited from last year.  I could have probably made a huge quantity of these if I had more time but I didn’t so here are my two creations.

One is a Valentine for one of my kids or grandkids and the other is a thinking of you for a dear friend who lost her mother recently.  I’m really trying to use more of my cards instead of just create and accumulate.

I used Close to My Heart:

Ink:  Candy Apple & Blue Belle

Paper Packs:  Sweet Safari, Happiness Lives Here & Perfect Match

Die: Stitched Hearts & Party Banners Thin Cuts

Stamps: Air Mail (available) & retired Say it in Style

Embellishments: Happiness Lives Here Wood Shapes &

                                Blue Belle Pearls

Embossing Folder:  Yikes I suddenly can’t find it I will clean and                             post when I do. It was NOT CTMH though.

Thanks so much for stopping by I hope you check out what our amazing team and other participants create at Tuesday Morning Sketches and leave some love we will be visiting your entry and leaving you som love too!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #589

Here we are already week 3 of 2021!! I hope your doing well and finding time for a little fun.  I sure appreciate you stopping by!

Here is what I made for Tuesday Morning Sketches #589.  I love making slim cards but I obviously need a little more practice!  I feel like I did much better the first time around with this one.  It was actually perfect timing because as I was going to through a basket of old cards and envelopes I found this pack of cute card bases with the shaped flap that I thought would be perfect for this sketch.  I don’t even remember having them!!!  At all!!! Am I loosing my mind??

I used the January and February Stamp of the Month sets from Close to My Heart and the so so cute Happiness Lives Here paper pack.  I kept telling myself sometimes less is more but I couldn’t quite adding fun backgrounds and boarders form the Feb SOM and the hearts etc. from the January. The foam shapes I used are what comes in the center of the shaker foam/window sets.

The other challenge when it comes to this shape is photographing them but they are very much worth the fun!  Enjoy!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #588

Hi thanks so much for stopping by!

Here’s what I made for Tuesday Morning Sketches #588 we’ll still be revisiting sketches for a few weeks.  This sketch is by Melissa and it is Debbie’s choice.  I used all new Close to My Heart products - I love the shaker dies it makes them so easy.  I filled them with some of the heart confetti from the dies and some glass beads and sprinkles from Martha Stewart that I’ve had around a long time.

I wish you a week with lots of positivity!  Plus, of course time to play and have fun - looking forward to seeing what you make.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #587

Wow- well it’s here 2021 is here, it still sounds funny to me though.  I know you most likely are like me in having gratitude for some of 2020 but it’s easily over shadowed by the barrage of challenges it posed.  I don’t really know anyone who is sad that it is over but nevertheless I always try to see good in whatever whenever I possibly can.

Speaking of good—this is the fun part of the year when our Tuesday Morning Sketches design team all pick a favorite sketch to revisit from the year prior!!  We’re starting off with Andrea’s favorite, I took a completely different approach to it last time.  I enjoyed it just as much this time around.  I was even able to make 4 cards, I kept thinking of different littles that I could send them to for birthday’s and miss you’s Plus these papers and stamp set were a joy to create with.  I have shimmer on the wings and shoes that is so hard to see but tried to capture it close up.

Last week we had a huge turnout because we had the annual anything goes and a big ol’ prize but I hope we have a good turn out again...it’s all about the fun right!!  So time to head over to Tuesday Morning Sketches to check out what our team made and enjoy creating your own fab art!!!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #586

 Happy Christmas week!!!

I do love Christmas but I must admit I let my joy get robbed (I rob it from myself!!) and have been a little woe is me because I have no family to be with this year and I have spent only one Christmas with family out of the last 6 Christmas’s including this year. I’m going to have to make a big effort to change that next year.

Can you believe it is our last challenge for 2020???!!! We always run the last one as “Anything Goes” each year.  I was positively sure that I was going to make it my tradition to make scrapbook pages for this challenge each year but this year I’ve had no mojo and no time.  Not sure why because I used to have an even busier life than I do now but maybe it is just my age or something slowing me down.

I promise these cards are much cuter in person - they look like chalkboard art.  I just used an old embossing folder I think it was Cricut but I’m too lazy to dig through the pile of mess on my craft table to find it. Then I rubbed the raised part with white embossing ink and used Lawn Fawn glow in the dark embossing powder.  That big mess on my table probably has a lot  to do with my lack of mojo too.

I tried to get a good photo of the glow in my dark closet.  Haha it was kind of funny I’ve never tried a “nite” photo with my new phone and it told me to hold still when I was taking it lol!! Believe me I tried to hold still but you’ll see the pic that was the best I could do.

I decided to add a little painting I did a few months ago also I really need to make a card out of it for my sister.

I hope you have a very merry everything and happy Christmas too!!

**Annual Anything Goes**
**runs from 12/22 to 1/3**

Tuesday Morning Sketches #585

Hi & happy Tuesday!!

I’m a little nervous to hear what you think of what I did with this fun Tuesday Morning Sketch #585.  Whenever I do something a little different I think is this ok or is it just dumb?

I do think I like these and they were so much fun to create.  I actually cut all the correct sizes of paper and traced them onto watercolor paper and painted.  Then I grabbed my metallic Tül pens-such a pleasure.  I hope they’re ok I made a set of them I have them in mind for my sis-x-love.  I wanted to keep a minimalist look and didn’t add any embellishments. Tell me the truth (I can handle it!) what do you think?

This is a fun out of the box sketch, our team did amazing with it.  I can hardly wait to see what you make!!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #584

 Hello!

I hope this Tuesday finds you happy & healthy!  I left out a couple elements on this Tuesday Morning Sketches #584 because my cute little elephant is pretty ornate and I didn’t want a lot competing with it.

My first thought for a sentiment was going to be along the lines of a belated birthday card but I came across this “Thanks a ton” sentiment first and thought - perfect!!  I picked up the elephants at Joann’s a couple months ago for no reason other than they were so cute.

I hope you have as much fun as I did with this sketch and as always I’m excited to see what you make!!
