Tuesday Morning Sketches #428

Hello there,

So it's only 16 days till Thanksgiving can you believe it???  I have 3 major birthdays this month so that always makes me procrastinate a bit so far as thinking about Thanksgiving & Christmas.

I really got pinched for time on this card I feel like I could have done better but it was wam bam first try is getting posted!!  I was so busy this weekend working on the tile for our guest shower remodel.  I feel pretty accomplished even if I do say so myself. The red on the walls is waterproofing.

So here is my card I used digital supplies from one of our frequent sponsors We Are 3.   Paper is called Storybook Christmas, and sentiment is Christmas Greetings.  is actually a digital shop opened by Bonnie, a former TMS Design Team member! She is sponsoring our challenge this week, the prize is a $15 voucher to the shop (excludes handmade cards).

Thanks so much for stopping by, we would all love to have you play along with us this week at Tuesday Morning Sketches!

  1. Your card is lovely! The tile looks good too. I also think that Thanksgiving is creeping up too quickly!

  2. Beautiful, beautiful card. I wish I could wham-bam that nicely (smile). I was really hoping you would mention what you used on the side for the "stitching." It really is quite lovely.

    1. Thank you Jenée, you're so great at letting us know your techniques and products. For the gold I just cut some curvy lines and outlined them with a glue pen I moved it a little to overlap a couple times, before embossing with Ranger Ultra Fine Gold embossing powder.

  3. Your card is a fun take on the sketch and I like the gold accents. Loving that side accent in glittery gold too!

  4. So pretty. I love the neutral tone with the gold and the pearls are perfect! What a precious gems and metal card!

  5. Patti, this is a great take on the sketch. Love that sentiment and the embellishments you used. Looks like you too have a few grands. I am fortunate to have the twins in town. I retired from my job to help take care of them and spent 11 months helping form 5-7 days a week. Now that they are a bit older I mostly help out on weekend. I do know how blessed I am to have them close by. When my boys have kids it will be different. They are both in Boston and that's a far cry from Indiana. Thanks for your sweet comment.

    1. LOL, I commented again this week about the babies!!! I hope I get to retire and live closer to mine before they're grown up and out of the house. :)
