Tuesday Morning Sketches #597

WOW!!!  Tuesday again already!!  It’s so true about how the older you get the quicker time flies!!  Here is what I made for  Tuesday Morning Sketch # 597.  It is completely different from what I thought I was going to do but I really like it.  I enjoyed this more than most the masculine cards I make - I really need to challenge myself to make more.

The paper is from the new CTMH Daisy Meadows pack.  It is very Easter/Spring themed so I’m extra pleased that I pulled off a masculine card without using paper that was formally masculine per se.  The plaid has some pink lines in it but I used a gray Shinhan marker over the pink, it’s a bit translucent so it turned out a neat color that is almost a perfect match for the light side of CTMH Espresso card-stock.

I wanted to cover the pink because the brother I made this for is the type who would totally say something about it!! LOL - yes one of those guys!!

I pretty much followed the sketch to a T- even up to the use of little punched stars.   I’m looking forward to seeing what papers & elements you put together making this GREAT sketch by Andrea!  Thank you so much for stopping by!!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #596

Happy Tuesday once again!!  Thanks so much for stopping by whatever day it is!!

I knew I would love the top element of this cute Tuesday Morning Sketches #596.  My first instinct was to go pastels and feminine but I decided to get out of my box and do some bold fun colors.

I think the die cut I used is Spellbinders or maybe WeRMemory Keepers either way I’ve had it for quite a number of years it is one of the first ones I purchased.  Since it is a circle I made two cards to use up both halves.  The paper is the newly released CTMH Eat Play Love paper packet and also the new Mix-Ins paper packet.  The ribbon and twine have been in my stash a long time too.

I decided not to add a sentiment and keep that for whenever I decide to use it and say whatever I need when that time comes. This was so so fun I wanted to make more - had lots more ideas but I’m also trying to get in routine of scrapbooking again also so I’m cutting myself off at two - lol!!

I can hardly wait to see what you make!! Please visit Tuesday Morning Sketches and our wonderful design team and of course - enjoy!!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #595

Happy Tuesday - thanks so much for being here!!  I could barely eek out any crafting time this week but I was so happy with the time I did have.

I was only able to get this one card finished, I have another one started but couldn’t quite pull it off.  But this fun Tuesday Morning Sketches #595 would have been one that I could have accomplished a lot more with just a little time.  It’s such a flexible design.  I’ve been really wanting to play with my Distress Oxide inks and that mission was accomplished.  I used Candied Apple, Spiced Marmalade and Mustard Seed they go perfect with CTMH Canary & Tangerine card-stock and ink.

I’m in love with this month’s CTMH Stamp of the Month, Winged Masterpiece.  I mean really you will be seeing more of it this month for sure!  VIP members can get it for free with a $50 purchase and anyone can purchase it for $5 with a $50 purchase.

Our team has some very inspiring work for you to see also so without further ado here is my card and I hope you enjoy visiting our design team blogs.  You can click on TMSlink here and from there you can visit the team and our fabulous participants.  Have a NICE day!!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #594

Happy Tuesday - thanks for being here!!

I guess I went a little bonkers with this sketch ;o) reason being is because a couple weeks ago I said I was going to try and start making a big effort to stamp with every stamp out of stamp sets - the first one being A Whole Latte Love.  Well - I did it, admittedly so I haven’t made the scrapbook page that I’m going to make yet with some of the images but I did stamp them all and have already used the majority of the stamps.  That’s why I made so many cards for this cute sketch #594 for Tuesday Morning Sketches.  It is really fun sketch by our fearless leader Melissa.

I included a pic of how I masked the coffee cup to add Doodled Borders stamps for a cute design.

I wanted also to finally use paper from a little known paper packet by CTMH - it is called a bright stack there are two different stacks available.  You get 48 sheets scaled down to 6 x 6 of a bunch of favorites.  I know not everyone realizes the patterns are scaled smaller than in the 12 x 12 kits they are not just 6 x 6 sheets of the same paper.

Have fun creating this with us!!!  See you soon!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #593

Oh my - late, but hopefully better that than never.  I’m not sure why but I decided to make this using circles cut out of a piece of paper that I put strips of Washi tape on.  It was fun!  This sketch is the last of our 2020 revisits and it was created by our very missed LJ.

Running behind this week on so much so without further ado - I hope you can join us this week and that wherever you are you’re safe and warm!!

Tuesday Morning Sketches # 592

Hi - Happy Tuesday!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  This week’s Tuesday Morning Sketch #592 is another re-visit from last year.  It is the sketch that I picked as my fav but really I couldn’t pick a favorite on my own I just choose one that was really popular with our participants because I love them all.

I was having sooo much fun with this sketch and my new little Whole Latte Love stamp & thin cuts set.  I cut out about 4 of everything.  My goal is to start using every stamp in a set so I knew I would need a few cards to do that. So far I used 5 out of the 13 stamps so I have a ways to go to meet my goal!  I also used the CTMH stamp of the month Doodled Borders set to decorate the cup.  Everything I used is current CTMH stuff except the Swiss dots embossing folder and the brown tiny ric-rac I’ve had both of those for a very long time.

I got it all done and took a photo so excited because I was so happy with it and then I realized that I forgot the three little dots-so in a rush and wanting to use more stamps I tried stamping the little heart curly q stamp and with all the embellishments I didn’t stamp it so well.

So then I thought I’m just going to make more and pick the one I like the best - I only got one more done and again I was happy with it but then I realized I forgot the three little lines that go across —holy cow focus Patti Rowe!!!!  A cool part about these two cards is that I cut the scalloped rectangle out of the embossed panel in the right spot so I could use the panel in the reverse for the second card.

Oh but so much fun to be had and so little time - these two are all that I managed to complete for this week. Now it is your turn-can’t wait to see what  you create - have fun!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #591

You’ve gotta be kidding me - FEBRUARY??? Oh my!! It is so very true that the older you get the faster time flies!

Here’s another funtabulous sketch repeat for Tuesday Morning Sketches # 591  This one is Melissa’s pick it was originally #543.  If you would like to see all the first round you can click here.

I think my card for this week was better in theory than it is in reality  but in real life it’s a little better than it photographed.  I kept it simple by just stamping the vine from CTMH’s Happiness Lives here card making kit and adding little already made flowers from The Paper Studio.  I made my up coming cards out of order so I made this in a rush.  Not sure quite why I rushed so much though.

I hope you’re not sick of my little banner die I’ve had it a while but most recently just started using it and love it so much.

Just one card this week—I hope you have some fun crafty time this week and I can hardly wait to see what you make!
