Tuesday Morning Sketches #607

 Hello & happy Tuesday & happy everything!!  

Once again for this Tuesday Morning Sketches #607 I got an idea in my head and had to try pulling it off.  I originally wanted to use the new Paper Hugs stamp set from CTMH but I didn’t order it so I had to pull out this sentiment from a past Operation Smile CTMH set.  I used a glove Cricut image because I didn’t really like any of the hand images. For the flower I used a MS punch and crinkled and layered a few - the leaves are from another MS punch and stem and stamped leaves from a stamp CTMH Stitched Florals Z3698 stamp + thin cuts set.  I thought I could maybe use the whole bouquet from that set but it was a little too big. Last but not least a mini tag from SU.  

Whew - used more than I thought!! I’m also going to enter this in the Color My Heart Challenge #444 Tic Tac Toe.  Which reminds me the patterned paper I used is from CTMH Hillside Cottage (Blue Belle plaid) and I also used Ballerina, Peach and Glacier card stock.

I kind of thought this sketch was a little out of the box and that I took it a little more out of the box so I’m excited to see what you make!!  Have fun!!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #606

 Happy Tuesday!!

As soon as I saw this Tuesday Morning Sketch #606 I saw a train. I quickly found one I liked in Cricut Access but I was lazy and tried to talk my self out of using an image that needed 6 colors of paper.  Only problem was I couldn’t talk myself into any other idea...so I tackled it and as usual it was much easier than I was making it out to be.  Still I procrastinated till the very last minute so I think I could have done a little better job but here it is — as is!!

I’m a little hesitant but I’m going to share something weird with you....I got hearing aids yesterday and ever since I started this choo choo train in Design Space I’m not even sure what prompts it but it does the choo choo sound in my hearing aids-they are blue tooth but I don’t even have them linked to this iPad so it’s kind spooking me out lol.  (Update hahahahaha well the choo choo noise was my hearing aids warning me the battery was low- what a coincidence!)

Tuesday Morning Sketches #605

 Hello, it’s here already - Tuesday again. I’ve been in the midst of a job change and it makes me feel like time is even quicker that the usual quick!  Plus as much as I feel that I’m doing the right thing I’m still having anxiety about it.

What better relief for anxiety than creating though right??  Unfortunately I have had much less time for that but what I do have I truly appreciate more than ever.

So with that said here is what I made for our Tuesday Morning Sketches # 605      I knew at first glance that I would either use vellum or embossing for the two little corner layers and I had no idea what I would use for the flower but gazing at my little bins I thought I should take a look in the one with paper flowers that I have for over 6 years!  I literally threw some away when I pulled them out due to being so fragile and full of cob webs lol!  

The plaid is from CTMH Hillside Cottage and the tiny dot is from the 6 x 6 Bright stack, it reminds me a little of a country quilt.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #604

 Oh my already May!!  I had another whirlwind week and I forgot to post this earlier so I’m just going to say hi hi hi have a fabulous week and pleeeeease join us for Tuesday Morning Sketches #604!  We all really love to see what you make and I’m sure you will love seeing what each other and our team made!!

 What a quick week it was again!!  Thank you so much for visiting.  Today’s Tuesday Morning Sketches #603 was another fun one although I fear that my card is a little ho-hum compared to the rest of our fabulous team!  I certainly enjoyed making it though.  I had the Carta Bella papers still out on my desk so I used another one of the cut-out designs along with this pretty Floral Market paper.  

I’m still very sparingly using some of the trims that I got from Melrose Vintage when I was working in Phoenix a lot, I’m going to be really sad when I use the last of it.  Not that I can’t get more pretty trims elsewhere but I just have such fond memories of stopping by before heading home to Prescott and perusing their beautiful store and selecting my treasures! This trim is from there and really all the colors go beautiful together here I just don’t think I got that great of a pic. 

I bet you will use some really fun shape rather than a boring ol’rectangle and I am very excited to see how your card turns out too!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #602

Happy happy today to you!!  LOL I realize that you may not be visiting on a Tuesday and I often say happy Tuesday. :o)

I totally cheated this week, I was in a shabby chic mood so I pulled out my bag of scraps that I got for a Beatrix Potter tea that we had for the little girls from church a while back.  I think this paper is Carta Bella most of what is in the bag is but I wouldn’t stake my life on it.  

Anyway, one of the sheets has some cut out stuff on one side and when I saw it - it was pretty much what I had in mind to create.  Then I made it really quick and felt bad that I didn’t try harder so I tried painting a quick wreath which was acceptable until I tried to paint Thank you on it haha- trash!!  I knew I was rushing and not in a very careful mood so I should have looked for a stamp instead but my play room is just a big MESS and I was lazy.  So I embellished the first option and called it done! 

It’s a small 4.5 x 4.5 card - I was happy that I already had a pack of that size cards & envelopes...well because I’m feeling lazy this week + it is the hubs birthday week and he took some time off so I’ve been hanging out with him more.

Just for fun I’ll show you my dud and also the little notebooks that I made for the tea.

The Potter image is a printable that I purchased from Etsy - I made quite a few different things.  But apparently I was not in a careful mood that day either because the image is cattywampus!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #601

 Happy happy Tuesday and thank you for being here!!  The cards I made for Tuesday Morning Sketches #601 were nothing but FUN!!! I got these cute little sets “Besties” from CTMH because they remind me of my granddaughters so much!!  I know they will love the cards I made them but I am also going to cut a bunch of uncolored images and send them to the girls to craft with.  They just so happen to be on sale right now for only $5 stamps only or $10 with the thin cuts! I usually don’t advertise on these posts but I thought I would be remiss in not sharing that.

I’m trying to make or send something to all 5 of my grandchildren at least once a month.  To try and stay a little more connected and share fun together. I have pics of the girls that you would be wowed by how much they look like these images but it would take me too long to track them down at the moment.

This is a great sketch by Andrea and  I don’t know what it is about this size slimline but I LOVE it!!!  I like it a lot better than the regular slimline size.  I adjusted the size of a regular envelope in Cricut Design Space and it worked like a charm to make cute matching envelopes.  Boy that’s a fun way to use up paper if you want to make cute use of surplus paper!
