Tuesday Morning Sketches #525

Well I’m totally late on this but I decided to give it a try anyway I’m having to learn to navigate and create posts on my iPad Mini because my computer went ka-put.

Anyway I hope you had as much fun with this sketch as I did and I look forward to getting the hang of this a little better and being back in full force! I know it’s not that hard and I shouldn’t be such a dummy but old habits die hard right?

I used a craft doily that I had left over from a baby shower and embossed the black background.  The stamp set is called Woodland Greetings from Close to My Heart and I love it it’s so sweet and the ribbon I sprayed with water and crinkled up and put it inside the circle of a washi tape roll to dry.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #524

Hello happy Tuesday!!

Here is what I made for TMS #524 I accidentally let the cat out of the bag a little with this card, you may know what I mean but I will let you know on October 15th what I'm talking about if you haven't figured it out.

This was fun, I struggled a bit with my spacing but recovered ok I think.  You start out with a 1" strip and then cut 7 more each 1/8" smaller then the last.  I just got a new Fiskars Procision paper cutter and I couldn't be happier to have nice clean cuts again, but it does take some getting used to.  After using my other one for 10+ years I'm sure you can probably understand.

I feel like the cooler weather slows me down - I like cool but not COLD!!  Here in UT we already got below freezing last night.  The day was a nice and sunny outside but for some reason I'm not feeling so sunny on the inside....missing all my family and friends now that summer is over and I know I most likely won't get to have anymore visitors until next year, I suppose is what accounts for the emptiness.

Crafting sure helps though so I wish you a fun, crafty filled fall!!  I look forward to seeing what YOU make!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #523

Yay! I'm starting to feel "back" again.  Still trouble shooting computer issues and Chewy is still needing his bandages changed 3 times a week but he is needing to wear the cone of shame less so that means he can use the doggy door  which is HUGE!!

I have to share what a great dog he is.  Him and his sister (litter mates - they're 6 years old) have always had a doggie door so its been hard keeping an eye on him to let him out with him having to wear the cone.  There has been a couple occasions where our timing/prediction was a little off and thankfully he barked to go out.  We had them upstairs while we had company and  couldn't see that he was needing something so I'm so proud of his big "I need to go out" bark.

Now on to my card, I knew that this big oversized sentiment would be perfect for this fun TMS sketch #523. The prize this week is an embossing folder, I hope you get to play along.  I almost feel like I'm relearning blogging but I WILL be visiting to see your creations this week!  Thanks so much for your patience and have a WONDERFUL week!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #522

Hi strangers!!!

I was beginning to think I may never be back!  I've had computer issues and on top of that one thing after another going on. The most time consuming thing going on right now other than my regular job is that my dog had surgery on his eye, ear and leg and his leg bandages have to be changed every other day so we spend a TON of time back and forth and waiting at our pet clinic.

I'm glad to be getting back to something a tiny bit normal.  I did cheat a lot on this card but it was great therapy to be crafting again.

So, here's what I made for our Tuesday Morning Sketch #522 a carefree fun sketch that you will really enjoy!!  I'm excited to be back and playing and checking out what you all make too!

Thanks so VERY VERY much for stopping by!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #511

Hi & Happy Tuesday!!  Here is what I made for the fun, FUN sketch - Tuesday Morning Sketch #511.  I was so happy that this doily stamp came to mind when I saw this set and even happier when it was in the first place I looked!!! It's an old stamp but I'm really trying to use my older tools and supplies.

The paper is from the new CTMH paper packet called True Love. The oval with the flower envelope is from the matching compliments - so big shortcut there but I'm happy with how it turned out.  Unfortunately I need a lot of get well cards these days.

I really should have made a birthday card (the light just came on) because it is Tuesday Morning Sketches 10th (Yep, count 'em - 10 years) birthday. So we have a couple of famous members from the original team joining us and a great SURPRISE birthday gift prize!

I'm looking forward to seeing what YOU make now and good luck possibly winning the birthday prize!!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #510

Hello there!

Low and behold I'm back.  I don't know if this happens to you also but sometimes life just gets away from me.  I've had a ton of fun stuff + the total extreme of a ton of tough stuff going on and  I just couldn't keep all the balls in the air there for a while.  It's not going to be a lot better for some time but at least I got to play and create with our great sketch #510 this week.

I didn't have a lot of time so I did less scallops but this was so fun to create,  all products are current CTMH products except for the retired little silver arrows.

I will get to visit your creations so I'm looking forward to that this week and I hope you're having a WONDERFUL summer!!  The prize this week is a surprise pack of ribbons, flowers and doodads :)

Tuesday Morning Sketches #508

Hello thanks so much for stopping by!

Sorry I've missed you for a couple weeks.  I had home renovations going on and then a couple batches of summer visitors and just couldn't pull off anything crafty.  This sketch #508 for Tuesday Morning Sketches was a perfect way to use one of the little playing around with watercolor pieces I did a while ago.  The paper is CTMH, the leaf punch is Martha Stewart and the gem and button I just had in my stash.

I hope you have some time for yourself and your crafting endeavors this week and that I get to see what you make for our sketch.

Our prize this week...
