Tuesday Morning Sketches #383 - Anything Goes

Ahhhh time to put a little love in your heart, lol you can always tell when I write tired :o)

As much as I LOVE Christmas and everything to do with the meaning and celebration of it I'm usually a little ready to be done with Christmas cards by now.   I just received this new Heart die from CTMH and since our challenge over at Tuesday Morning Sketches is "Anything Goes"  I was anxious to give the die a try.

Here's my first little batch, I used the positive image, the negative image and the image image!! The actual purpose of the die is the cute thin hearts but I thought I could use all three pieces and it was really fun making these, plus they went fast.

Pretty much everything is CTMH; the paper is retired,  the stamp set is one of the sets that comes with the ever so wonderful Flower Market Cricut Collection.  I brushed the CTMH glimmer pen all over the hearts and the negative image but I had already attached the thin hearts so I didn't add it to those.  I used quite a bit of foam tape on the first, a little bit on the second and just a tiny bit on the third card.

Thanks so much for stopping by  & have a VERY merry Christmas!!

P.S.  Be sure to check out what the rest of our team made and if Santa brings you crafting goodies use those to play along with us - you have two weeks this time, and this is THE ONLY time we have Anything Goes.

Tuesday Morning Sketches # 382

Well how are you doing on your Christmas shopping?   Me, I better get busy because time is running out - that's all I have to say about it.  I feel a little guilty - I'm just not in that Christmassy of a mood this year.

So....I made a baby card with this week's sketch, in the mood or not I'm usually always pretty done with coming up with Christmas cards this late.  I do have plenty to finish up but they're all duplicates so nothing to share there.

Without further ado here it is... our last Tuesday Morning Sketch for 2016.  This one is easy and if you're over making Christmas cards like me then it can be adapted into so much more.  Our challenge is sponsored by Jennifer Tomasic, CTMH Independent Demonstrator.

Next week we'll have our "Anything Goes" challenge. I hope you're able to carve out some play time or at least get to hop on over and see what the rest of the team made during this most WONDERFUL time of the year!!

Less Is More # 306 One Layer

Here's what I made for Less is More #306 -One Layer with the theme of Outline. I was pretty close to giving up on this one this evening - it really is a challenge for me to do a one layer card but this old Cuttlebug embossing folder came to mind.  I decided to try out the inking the folder then embossing technique.  At first I thought it came out a little too sketchy but then it really grew on me.  After I stamped the sentiment I knew it needed the stem to be just a tad bit longer so I used sticky notes to mask and sponge an extended stem.

All in all it was quite fun and I'm pretty proud that I pulled off this one layer card the first try!!

I hope you have a WONDERFUL week and thanks so much for stopping by!

Terrific Tuesday - Tuesday Morning Sketches #381

Well hello there kind visitor!!  I hope your Tuesday is TERRIFIC and I hope you play along with us over at Tuesday Morning Sketches #381Our sponsor this week is Digital Delights by Louby Loo.  The prize is $5 shopping voucher.  Here's the card that I made with the sketch, featuring Mistletoe Martie & Bertie.

I decided to print this on photo paper and I really enjoyed coloring on it. I say enjoy even though by the time I was getting close to finished I was having a bit of anxiety because I thought after all this detail if I mess it up now I'll spit!!  Well, it's not perfect but I didn't feel the need to actually resort to spitting - lol.  I did however leave the bottom portion of their glasses frames uncolored because it was the very last thing I colored and I really would have been frustrated if I goofed on those.  I was a nervous wreck by then so let's just say that's how their glasses were designed, and call it good.  :o)  Next time I may just buy the colored version and add a little glitter and call it good!

Watercolor doodles: Freshly Made Sketches & Less is More

Playtime this weekend was really limited but I did have just a couple little snatches of time in my studio.  I  played along over at Less is More # 305 with their fun  Primary Colours
challenge and used the Freshly Made Sketch #265.  I doodled with water colors and added some sequins and enamel dots for a fun and easy card.  The hardest part was waiting for the colors to dry.  :o)
Thanks so much for stopping by and I wish you some sweet crafting time this week!
