TMS #488 - Jeneé's Pick

Hello there!  

Here is what I made with our fun sketch #488 at Tuesday Morning Sketches which is Jeneè's pick from 2018.  It still feels funny typing in 2018 like it's in the past but here we are already 4 weeks into 2019.  

Our prize this week is a Clear Expressions stamps with quite a few nice friend sentiments.  I think I need to take a break from metallics after this, I'm too frustrated with my poor photography skills when trying to capture what it really looks like.  

The hat on the owl and sentiment are from a new CTMH mini set, and I know already that it is going to get all but worn out for me this year, that little hat will be perfect for so many little animals!   

We had such a great turn out last week and hoping for the same again - you all provide us with so much inspiration!  Thank you!  Now time to head on over to TMS blog & design team blogs and play play play along :)  :)  :)

TMS #487 - Debbie's Pick

Hello there,

Sorry I'm a little late, I had this ready really early but didn't properly set it up to post.  Here is what I made for Tuesday Morning Sketches #487.  I really cheated but feel pretty good about my little trick.  The wreath was a scrapbooking card that said Choose Joy, I like that phrase but I couldn't think of anyone at the moment that I would send that sentiment to so I sanded it off and stamped Happy Birthday in it's place :)  I used a Tombow sand eraser to gently remove it and you really can't even tell.

We are still showing off all of our favorite sketches from last year.  This week is Debbie's pick it's another one created by former DT member Janice. The prize is an embellishment pouch from Freckled Fawn.

Close to My Heart SOM Card Captions

Hello & happy Sunday!!

Finally I'm posting more than once a week for a change!!  I was happy to see this sentiment in this months CTMH Stamp of the Month set.  I had two of these rainbows that I painted when working on another card quite a while back.  It always feels so good to use up those things I let hang around so long but I like too much to throw away.  

I used CTMH watercolors, Jan 2019 Stamp of the Month, I (heart) Us paper packet.  Die is cut with Cricut, a while back, red enamel dots retired from CTMH.

TMS #486 - Andrea's Pick

Hello happy Tuesday Morning :)  

Here is what I made for Tuesday Morning Sketches #486.  I have been hoarding this paper for a pretty long time so I decided to break down and cut into it.  I can't remember what it is called but I got it at my local SS.  There are metallic rose gold polka dots that I found pretty much impossible to photograph well straight on so I have a close up of it tipped to catch the light so you can see how pretty it is.  

The Happy Birthday stamp is from Simon Says Stamp's June Card Kit (2018).  And the little candle dies were on my desk still from cutting extras on a card a few weeks back. 

The prize is a really super cute ink pad set - how fun!!  Good luck maybe you will win - but first you MUST play along with us!!

TMS #485 Honoring Jessi

We're back!  I created this card for Tuesday Morning Sketches #485 with a heavy heart because the sketch is in honor of Jessi, one of our past design team members.  Hearing the news of her passing made me want to hug all of my loved ones and let them know I am here for them -- and REALLY be there!  

I didn't know Jessi well but I do know she was way too young for her family to loose her. She loved to create and card making was a great therapy for her.  I hope you join us this week in honor of Jessi and that you can find time to get lost in and enjoy the process.  

I used a Close to My Heart retired stamp set, ink and cardstock and "Cute Girl" by Crate Paper patterned paper.
