Tuesday Morning Sketches #358

Whew - summer sure has been fun so far but it's kept me busy.  I've had two sets of out of state visitors already, and boy it's such good medicine to get together with friends - isn't it?!?!?  The only hard part is seeing them leave again, I feel a little lonely now.  But anyway it's fun to touch base with you too, all my www. friends :o)

Tuesday Morning Sketches #356

Well hello there and a TERRIFIC Tuesday to you!!  Ok, whatever day it is I hope it's TERRIFIC!

Here's what I made for the TMS #356 sketch this week.  I noticed after I was done that I wasn't very observant about a couple details but I think Melissa will it pass ok.  I used a cute freebie image from our sponsor Bugaboo.  The paper and embossing folder I used was Close to My Heart.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #355

Here's what I made for Tuesday Morning Sketches #355.  Our sponsor this week is All Dressed Up and this image happens to be a freebie!!  There's plenty more adorable images so I highly recommend checking them out.  I hope you play along with us this week and color something sweet like this.  As you can see I didn't do the greatest job coloring.  Some of my problem was that I was having difficulty with my printer ink smearing and some was just because I'm not that great at it. At least I had a good time creating and my granddaughter will not be a harsh critic like I am to myself. She will love her card and me anyway - whew!!  

Cupcake Inspirations and Retro Sketches

Cute sketch + pretty colors = FUN cards! Low and behold I got to play along with some great challenges again.  Made the top card for Cupcake Inspirations #362 and Retro Sketches #216. The second card was the almost identical twin born because I think it makes sense to make multiples while I'm at it. 

I'm so envious of the adorable stitched clouds of all sorts that so many people have but I made do (for now anyway) with making my own hand made clouds. I added some silver lined velum clouds that came in my CTMH Calypso Compliments.  I cut them in half to stretch them into two cards but I actually like them that way better. I've loved this little angel since the moment I saw her because she reminded me of my granddaughter - the set is from Close to My Heart.  I wasn't thinking and didn't add the "Thank heaven for friends" sentiment that comes in the set before finishing them up so it will have to go on the inside. 

I think some day soon I'm going to have to treat myself to some stitched dies!!  What do you think?  Do you have any and what are your favorites - clouds and or other shapes if you don't mind sharing.
