Tuesday Morning Sketches #750

 Hello - thanks for stopping by for Tuesday Morning Sketches #750.  

I really cheated on this one but at least I stamped a little :) and I didn’t make the card exactly like the card kit.  It was supposed to be a a regular A2 card and I changed it to 5 x 7 plus added the ovals.  

This is a CTMH cut above card kit that was on sale a couple months ago for a steal and it was a bit before the big announcement that they are going out of business.  I think it’s sad even though I stopped being a consultant I was one for 25 years and still totally love their products. Just so many fond memories too!!

Well truth be known I’m sure I have enough supplies to last the rest of my life but it’s just so fun to get new stuff!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #749

 Ya think the weeks could go by just a little faster?  Yikes!  

I kept this week’s Tuesday Morning Sketches #749 super simple.  I wondered if should I layer more or should I add embellishments? Just decided, nope this is a case of less is more. I like it this way.  

I used stencils and it took be 3 tries to get it right - well “right enough” haha I really haven’t used stencils a whole lot and when I have it has normally been a background.  They are so fun though I plan on using them more - noticed I have quite a collection that hasn’t even been touched.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #748

 HI!!  

Yikes, I’m late for our Tuesday Morning Sketches sketch #748 this week, but life has been full and fun (thankfully) right now!  I’ve been looking forward to using this floral background die.  I cut it out of Tim Holtz watercolor paper and colored with Daniel Smith watercolors.   

YES - a new birthday die! I mentioned not long ago that I promised to get another one as soon as Simon Says Stamp had a sale and sure enough they had one shortly after :) YAY! I struggled a bit with it though because I was rushing and it is so tiny and fragile.  I cut the first one out of watercolor paper and painted it dark purple but didn’t think it showed up good enough so I cut a black one which is still hard to see but better.  I got the adorable little lady bugs from SSS also in my same order.  

The die is sized for a A2 card so I compensated for that by only putting scallops on the short sides for my 5 x 7 card.  I really like giving 5 x 7 size cards so much better than the smaller ones, except for the fun small mini slimline size.   I VERY much hope we get to have you join us this week at Tuesday Morning Sketches I can’t wait to see what you make!

This is very busy for sure but it is a busy blooming flower garden with cute little lady bugs something I hope to have in real life this spring/summer!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #747

I have been hoarding these last two hot air balloons for a long time but decided they would be perfect for the elements on this sketch.  I was short on time and wish I did a little better job on the placement of my clouds.  I used a really old cloud stencil that I have had for years…probably 20 at least - I still really love it though!!

I’m hoping that you can join us for this week’s Tuesday Morning Sketches #747!  I’ll visit your creation soon :) I hope.
